Am I the only one who's seen/wondered about the black plastic cover on the upper half of the door jamb, directly behind where the door vent would vent? The picture in this thread actually shows it clearly, it isn't mentioned, and the whole thing is chalked up to being a fake vent, because there...
Yup, thats basically what I heard/saw on the ordering forms at my dealer. I didn't realize though that the X version was only Phantom Grey, and it would be released later. I know a customer or two that will be very disappointed by this news.
Does anyone know, do the safety features add any...
This is possible, but I doubt Canada would get 300, and the USA 1200, since the USA has 10X the population of Canada, but the alotment you suggest the US would be getting only 4 times the number of limited edition cars Canada is getting. Considering the UK with 4X the population of Canada is...
Having two rear seats would be a deal breaker for me - I don't want them, they add weight, take away space, and change the status of the car from sports car to GT. I'd be looking at a different car if it had 2 rear seats....
I have read the 1/4 mile time is low 12 secs for the Supra.....not 12.9, as you stated. Where did you get this number? if you look at other cars that do 0-60 in 4-4.2 seconds, they are around 12.2-12.3 in the qtr mile. I expect the Supra to be there as well.
I'm wondering if the "launch edition" will be released in March, and no other model, and the regular editions will be released in the next cycle, which seems like it will be late summer, August/September. The dealers I spoke to here in Alberta indicated Toyota claiming an August delivery date...
I was just at my local dealer, and it appears the Canadian car that cost $64,990, is the same as the USA premium version, but with the extra tech package that is optional in the US. This will be the standard Canadian car. A "base" vehicle is by order only, and the only apparent difference is...
I think I'm the only one on here who likes the two-toned wheels. I prefer them to the all-black, by far. The black, making an all red and black car, is has too few contrasts. I love the machine-look touches that bare metal gives a car.
I was just talking to another Toyota dealer here, who had the official pricing information from Toyota Canada. The $64,900 is for the premium trim car (although this could still be the launch edition). "All-in" price is around $73,000 (freight, destination, tax (5%), ect.).
Based in stats alone, (price/performance) nothing competes with a Vette, and so I doubt Toyota ever had that targeted as the main competition. To reach the Vettes level of performance would have required a much more expensive car, and Toyota already saw in the 90's the result of that.
I think...
How did you order? You found a dealership willing to place an order for you? All the dealerships around my area have balked, even with me willling to put down a $10,000 deposit.....
Also, if they are able to order a Phantom Grey for delivery in 2019, it sort of debunks the idea that Canada...
This yellow is disappointing. In some of the pictures the color looks good, but in a lot of them, it almost looks like a faded orange. Too much red in this yellow. This was going to be one of the colors I was considering, but I don't think its what I want.
I was planning on getting a base car, as it's about 110 lbs lighter, but if Canada is getting launch editions, and its $65,000, I'd go for that, just for the exclusivity.
I was about to make a $10,000 deposit to be first in line at a local Toyota dealer, guaranteeing MSRP. When I asked for this to be written into the agreement, they seemed to think it was strange - they had never sold a car above MSRP, and said it wasn't policy to do so. They also suggested...
I've read its about 380 bhp on the M240i. Some say higher, but the number that I've seen most often is around 380. It pretty much has to be more than 335, if it really does 0-60 in 4.1. The acceleration numbers of other cars with that engine likewise greatly defy its 335 hp/369lbsft torque...
