I guess you can classify me as one of those MKV fanboys. I just want to express my opinion on the subject.
1. It's a SupraMKV forum, what did you expect? There is definitely going to be a lot more supporters here than anywhere else on the internet. If none of us are excited about this car, who...
Great news! Thanks for the update. History will repeat itself as it did with the 86 and LFA. Good to hear that Toyota recognizes this (I guess it shouldn't be surprising) and not taking all this negative attention the wrong way. Also, great to hear that they already have plans moving forward...
Most of the negative comments center around "Its a BMW, not a Toyota", etc. I find this so comical. Everyone knew this was being co developed with BMW. So why are they so shocked now? What were they expecting? Plus with all the leaks I am pretty sure most people were pretty well informed but...
Like @mkivalex said, I think the best approach would be to email Toyota or visit dealerships and voice our opinion about the manual. We should also send them that vote we had a year ago. I suppose persistence is key here.
I've been a part of this group for a year and watching it for 2.5 years. Can't believe that we are finally here now.
The Supra looks awesome. Monday couldn't come sooner!
I think its the one with the slicks. If you slow the video down to 0.25x you will notice a sticker on the top left hand side of the rear windshield. This matches with the GR car sticker placement.
Regardless, the car is frickin' fast.
I gotta say though, Karmesian Red doesn't look impressive at all. I am surprised that Toyota went with this colour since they were marketing the FT-1 in red and the Toyota colour is red. Like you gotta have a nice red on the Supra. Maybe I am seeing this in the wrong light, but I hope the red...
Damn thanks for coming through!
I am actually liking this interior quite a bit. If I didn't know any better it for sure looks like a Toyota designed interior to me and doesn't look like the standard new BMWs.
My only gripe, the space to the left of the brake pedal is looking quite lonely.
It's hard to judge from just concept drawings or pictures. You have to see it in the real.
I remember seeing the 86 in pictures and going, wow this is a mess. But seeing it in person changed my opinion entirely.
So you are suggesting that there is more to this than what we are seeing here? I hope so. I think many of us are still waiting for this magic bullet that Toyota seems to have somewhere. Not to sound negative, but this reveal just makes the Supra look like a Toyota tuned Z4 40i.
