Let's just hope that whatever stats GM claims are actually reliable. Historically that hasn't been the case.
i.e. They claimed the 0-60 of the Z06 would be 2.95s but in reality all the videos I saw it ran 3.5 to 3.6s. Still a seriously fast car, but there's a big difference between claiming...
Let me repeat this cliche again then - the car is completely different (in a good way) in person. You have to see it in the flesh.
I had the chance to see it in person at my local dealership and sit in it yesterday. I was pleasantly impressed by how low and wide the car is. Especially the rear...
I disagree. I think for this particular car and the numbers they are targeting 2500 is a decent number. Regardless, think its worthwhile bombarding Toyota with all this.
Thanks Goose. You had it right the first time, as in the driving position. I was kind of afraid it might be a taller car to sit in, but 1/2" to 1" is not bad at all.
Out of curiosity, I checked Autotrader Canada to see if anyone was listing the new supra. Unsurprisingly there were listings. A few of them listed at 89,000 CAD while others listed at 120,000 CAD. How disgusting.
So spoke to my dealer and he said that almost all dealerships in Canada are getting 2 cars this year and 4 cars next year. Which essentially means they will all be sold or already sold due to such low numbers.
Not sure if he's spinning a yarn on me or if its actually true. Anyone know anything...
100% agree with you.
Majority of the people buying the Supra and Vette are from the same 'pool' - people who want an affordable performance sports car. Right now on paper the Vette is a hell of a deal compared to the Supra. Plus its 100% American (holistically, you know what I mean) so...
I agree with @Pheonix. 2JZ swap yeah that's cool, but everyone does that now so its kind of boring?
Understand the time implications but it would have been impressive and interesting if they actually did something with the B58. Still waiting on that.
