Oof. You will miss that engine that's for sure. I have a GT4 and have driven a 991.1 GT3. The GT4 is nice but if I could I would trade it for a GT3 in a heartbeat.
True. But regardless, if you give any dumbass or inexperienced driver the keys to any car over 300hp and they decide to turn off the traction control and go joy riding and think they are Aryton Senna behind the wheel, you will get people crashing and getting seriously hurt or die. Doesn't matter...
Doubt it.
Also Porsche is more expensive for a reason. You won't be getting the same feelings in a fully loaded Lexus when compared to even something like a Boxster. Porsche has better racing heritage. There is something about them that you just don't get in other brands. And I am not saying...
Dude if that was the case and it was asking for a $70-$80k asking price I'd buy it in a heartbeat. 473hp 442ft lbs with a manual will shut everyone up.
!
Hey, you're pretty good
Probably will affect it somewhat but I doubt its anything you can feel on the street.
Yeah I doubt it will be a common mod. I doubt anyone would wanna butcher their brand new Supra like that. It will kill the resale value. The only ones I see doing it are those making a dedicated time attack car who needs the rear diff/brake cooling.
How can you make the side vents functional? You have to cut into the door sill and have the air located somewhere to the back. It's not gonna be cheap or easy. Maybe on the race car, they have things like fuel cells, or functional rear brake or rear diff cooling. But you will be hard pressed to...
Agreed. Pretty sure other companies will offer similar if not better looking front lips, spoilers, actual full on diffusers and rear spoilers/wings. But I can see the TRD side vent replacement to be a popular upgrade. Would probably look better on a darker color or red. Can't wait for full on...
It might. TRD was pretty pricey back in the Mk4 days. Their widebody kit for the Mk4 was sex on wheels and wasn't cheap. Plus this is similar to a BMW M Performance lineup of front lips, side skits, rear spoilers and rear spats. Glad they got rid of the fake door vents. Here is hoping they come...
Now lets see some aftermarket functional front bumper, hood and diffuser from TRD or anyone else. TRD offered an amazing looking widebody kit for the Mk4. Here is hoping they do the same here. Glad they got rid of the non functioning side vent.
I also do not like that black trim running across the rear bumper in between the tail lights on the 718. Looks tacky IMO. Prefer the much cleaner look of the 981. And no that's not because I have a 981. Obviously the 718 is a "better" car than a 981.
I mean it's a brand new sports car in the market. Of course feedback and reviews from journalists can persuade enthusiasts but in the end, it all depends on how well the thing sells to a casual customer who doesn't follow the news. These days of SUV's, autonamous, and electric everything, having...
For that price the thing better run circles around cars like a ZL1 1LE, GT350, TTRS, Corvette Gran Sport, Cayman GTS, M3/M4, C63 AMG. And it better come with more than 330hp.
What would it take? Initial sales. If the thing sells well, then they would bring out a manual next year. Plain and simple. All depends on how the public, press and enthusiasts embrace the car.
