Here is the best review I've read on the car so far. Some key takeaways ;
The power delivery from BMW B58's turbocharged inline 6-cylinder engine is superb. And more generally...
Uhh...I never said you did? Chill out my man.
Allso I didn't even bother to read Harris's review as I can't stand the guy and could care less about his opinion. Like you said, the car has a BMW interior which is a good thing. That means no rattles and squeaks while driving. I'd much rather have...
An Avalon interior may be nice but that's not to say a BMW one isn't. BMW are great. The Supra's interior is great. Idk why anyone would complain about it.
What a load of nonsense. Every reviewer had different things to say about the car. Engineering Explained said he didn't like the steering feel that much and the steering ratio. Many have said the lack of a manual is a big oversight. Some complained about the visibility, others about the looks...
Z4 goes up against the 718 Boxster and the Supra goes up against the 718 Cayman GTS. Porsche better pull off something amazing with the 718 GT4 otherwise the Supra will be stealing their lunch there as well.
Oh and I despise the looks of the new BMW 3 series, 8 series, and Z4. Their whole new...
Why wouldn't anyone here like the collaboration between Toyota and BMW? BMW makes the best inline 6's in the world. Pretty sure everyone here who doesn't like the collab would bitch and moan on how the car would've cost over $100,000 if Toyota designed their own inline 6 for it. Oh and I doubt...
Thanks man. The new Supra is gonna be affordable (if dealers don't mark it up to $80k+) and will probably give my GT4 a run for it's money. I used to think Harris was great when he was on The Drive and Chris Harris on Cars on Youtube. It was fun seeing him drift around in everything. Then...
I personally stopped following him when he left Drive and went to the shitty version of Top Gear. I mean all he does is drift everything and he barely talks the about ins and outs of the car. Which is cool for people who care for that but I much prefer someone like OG Top Gear/The Grand Tour...
Lol people looking for power don't care for daily livability and emissions. Besides, you can either throw the stock cats back on when you for emission testing or bribe the tech to pass you. Or if you know someone who will pass you anyways.
Also a tune on these motors will be available soon...
Savagegeese's initial impressions. One of my favorite reviewers who isn't afraid to criticize a car unlike others who mostly caters to kids (Doug Demuro). Can't wait for his final review but he thinks so far it's great.
What a useless article. You can't compare these 2. Totally different class of cars. It's like comparing a Miata to a GT3. Sure both are RWD sports cars, but that's where it ends.
It's gonna be like other BMW turbo I6's. A tune and a downpipe will add power. A tune is the biggest power adder on these motors aside from going aftermarket turbo. A 340i with a tune can put down like 440whp and 420+wtq. https://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?p=430180#post430180
A...
Can't wait to see the aftermarket get their hands on this. A tune, downpipe, chargepipe, and upgraded intercooler will probably put this thing at 470whp and 6xx wtq easily. And of course exhaust for sound. I doubt a simple exhaust upgrade will yield much power since the factory one seems like...
