Have you checked the hoses/vacuum lines? A split hose on the intake/boost side can cause all sorts of hilarity...

Have you done some basic physical checks? Check all loom connections are secure Check for split or detached intake hoses

That order was in place for less than a lap IIRC, presumably because it was so treacherous they didn't want to risk binning both cars. I'd agree with you more if Oscar hadn't beached it. Don't get me wrong, I think he's capable - but his lack of experience shows up at times like this.

I think I've two on the road, (but never when I've been in mine) and over a couple of years around 5 at various car shows!

I tend to find the modern style ones wear like crazy and need replacing quickly. I've hardly done any miles at all in my Sup, but got new Bosch ones when I had a windscreen chip repaired. My Defender seems to need a new set every 6 months!
