Wow, great progress man!
I might had missed this, but when you stripped down the impact side of the car, suspension wise; the only thing that broke was the toe arm? I was just wondering if any of the adaptive suspension components were damaged (not that it really matters).
The electronics...
See below, MY2021 is coming in at 3400 pounds.

Your explanation is the same as my wife's friend who works for Toyota's Finance dept out here in Plano. Except he called bulls*** lol. But, you're right, connections matter.
For that guy you may know, with those connections. I might have to PAY ;) them a visit to talk about the GRMN lol.
Your story is a bit confusing/conflicting, but I'm not going to pry. Probably should had led with you get a TMC discount. Simple and doesn't compromise anything.
Yeah I'm still very skeptical about this too, but to justbake's credit, I do remember reading this article a whiles back. https://www.motor1.com/news/378408/land-rover-defender-svr-bmw-engine/
I'm not clear of the details between Toyota and BMW's partnership, but if it has some clause that...
The MY2021 Supra is basically getting the M40i Z4's engine. The cars were co-developed at the same time so it makes sense. The main differences will be weight and suspension tuning. Very confident a dyno graph will show both cars torque and power curves nearly identical.
Also, the 2.0 4cycl...
Well, this happens every now and then. Should had seen the threads during the time when the car was still in development. Sooo much "factual analysis" (Opinions) flying around.

It's leaks like this that keeps me interested haha. Good to know a more defined time table, but I think we already knew it was coming next year. HP estimates seem promising, @A70TTR idk if what you've been hearing is a...
Well no info from Toyota has been publicly released yet, so there's a bit of hope left lol. Sometimes our expectations are higher than what Toyota is willing to do.
Thanks guys. Any info is something at this point since it's a ways out. Ultimately, I got to wait it out anyways, thankfully we live in a world with options. I'll start looking at a plan B if the next gen 86 isn't what we expect it to be.
Awesome interview! Thanks so much @ichitaka05.
A little off topic, but it seems like you guys were doing a bit of 86 talking. Was there anything about a turbo and possible HP figures, that was exchanged?
Asking for a friend....
Wait I'm a bit confused. Subaru intentionally moved away from the D4-S in the FA? If so, why? That would had been a god send to have for the WRX/STI going forward. I don't know if it's just incompatible with more pressure from the turbo? Or something.
I'm still very skeptical of future MKV's getting the S58 motor. That's a BMW proprietary motor from their M division. I understand the deal Toyota and BMW had for the B58, but the S58 seems like a stretch.
However, I would love to be wrong about this.
Yeah that's a good point. Definitely was part of my concern back in 2017, coming from the earlier 4U-GSE FR-S. Big reason why I didn't want to go with the EJ motor.
From my research and asking around on the Subaru forums, the newer FA motors are good steps forward and highly more reliable...
I think these petitions will go just as well as the petition to change the name of the MKV....
or the petition to remove the Supra nameplate ...
or the petition for the manual...
Enjoy your cars ppl.
I'm sorry for the ones feeling jaded by Toyota, but you got to do your research before hand. I wouldn't walk into a dealer and buy a $50k+ car without doing some research. It's been exhausted on this forum months before actual release.
But, a lesson I learned is, if you're always looking...
.... I wonder how ppl going to feel when the GRMN MKV releases?
I wonder how many more on the forum are going to say, "No one knew this! F*** you Toyota!"
