Oh I get that. Toyota usually offers a lot of trim levels in Japan, regardless of model. There are lots of options. I’m just concerned about the worldwide offering, as Toyota usually has simpler approach to this, just like by offering 2 variants, either a 2.0-liter or 3.0-liter and that’s it.
:respect: In the mean time, we can just speculate and guess. It may be a secret for now; but not forever. We shall know everything at the right time. When the A90 Supra is officially launched, there will surely be another topic to be discussed....probably the GRMN variant, or MkVI Supra :nixon:
So Yamaha is involved in this Toyota-BMW collaboration? I think Yamaha is just responsible for the sound of the engine, just like it did with the sound of the Lexus LFA.
If Toyota will be modifying the engine and components one way or the other, I believe it will still have bulletproof reliability. Or else Toyota would just destroy their image and reputation with their new halo car. Toyota would be wise enough just to take advantage of BMW’s I6 engine layout and...
I don’t think it costs that much to build it. $2.7m is even more expensive than Ferraris or Lamborghinis, even Buggatis. It’s just wider and comes with all kind of kits. Toyota hasn’t even revealed the engine/motor ans specs of the concept just yet. Hard to justify that price tag.
Oh I forgot...
France - somewhat hard on the road, weird styling, sub-par build quality and reliability; problematic, well equipped, a bit pricey
South Korea - powerful design language(like Audi; since they pirated Audi’s designer Peter Schreyer), average build quality, durable, excellent in...
I wonder what’s with the Supra? Why do a lot of people love it? Not only Japanese ; but also American , Australia , Canadian , European , and more. The Supra is Asian. Me, I just find it as an emotional machine that excites. Something that excites me like nothing else.
:offtopic:
This is how I...
SERIOUSLYo_O LOL:spaz:
Well, of course I want it to be as good as possible, also being realistic, and wanting it to be as affordable as possible.
The Supra will be a BMW thing whether we like it or not. If we don’t like it, then we just have to enjoy the MkIV Supra and stick to it. We have no...
To have less doesn’t necessarily mean it’s not as good or worse. Toyota engineered their own car, will use their own components as well. Just shared chassis, engines, electronics, electricals, mechanicals, and interior bits with BMW. It may sound like they got everything from BMW but I’m sure...
I agree. The new generation people, many of them did not have the chance to drive a manual. AT is primarily the more practical choice for most drivers. Only a few would attempt to drive a manual, particularly those interested in cars and motoring. If you want to drive a manual, yeah, I believe...
People get excited because the Supra will finally make a return after a very long hiatus. It will stay true to its heritage with 3.0-litre I6 turbocharged engine. People seem to find a way to like it even if it will only be offered in AT. But rumors say a MT is already in the cards, which should...
I havent’t been this excited about a new hyped up sports car from a Japanese automaker for a while now. The last time I got so excited was in late 2011 when Toyota and Subaru launched the 86 and BRZ. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get either. I was able to drive both, and all I can say is...
I usually drive one handed when driving AT. Driving MT, it varies. 1-2. Driving AT is effortless. Driving MT, you have to be alert and prepare to shift, step on the clutch. It has more work to do but more fun as well.
