I went with Vorshlag, they made the whole package with the springs (they have 3 levels of spring rates) and got their camber plates.
everything came assembled and ready to be bolted on.
Installed the coilovers and fixed a couple of issues with a broken sensor.
as per manufacturer check HERE the initial adjustment is
Compression: 4/8
Rebound: 8/18
which is straightforward in the front. But in the rear (see pic) the orientation is confusing:
The adjuster is at the top of...
UPDATE:
after an agonizing week of wait the replacement wheel speed sensor arrived.
Sensor was exchanged and I’m back to normal. No dash lights. No reduced power. Codes were cleared and gone.
root cause analysis: plenty of mistakes were made during installation of the coilovers and it has...
BMW electronics are black magic. Some
Of the codes are so weird that you wonder if the programmers were just putting stuff there to throw people off the scent of what is really happening.
Ok. So I happen to work with the William Leham Injury Center doing research on crash safety equipment with BMW for over 2 decades. It’s a University of Miami /Ryder trauma center partnership and n which we Trauma surgeons participate. Google that.
so yeah. We are talking about different...
Oh. This is somewhat my topic (trauma surgeon)
DISCLAIMER: this is theory. In practice things are not this dramatic unless you actually crash.
In a very basic way The OEM seat belts are designed to stretch up to a point and then lock. The reason for that is because there is a ton of...
Thanks. Thats a relief. Thats my main suspect and since the codes are pointing to the right rear speed sensor, thats where I’m going first.
there is at least one more person here in the forum that reported a damage wheel speed sensor after coilovers install, so he and I made the same stupid...
Yes. Tried to clear them, come right back. Also disconnected battery and tried to reset the parking brake and no fix.
Battery was disconnected while I took out the OEM stuff and replaced everything. The errors came out as I connected the battery.
also, may not be related, I’m getting a...
Thank you guys. after doing the install step by step, then adding the RSR EDC delete kits I’m getting tons of errors.
Lights on Dash: (all yellow)
CEL
Park
ABS
Parking brake
Here’s the list of errors:
E12C75
DSC_Modul interface (actual wheel speed unsecured, 0x254): signal invalid

So I will remove the little piece that gets connected to the OEM shock, and transplant the whole thing into the new coilover, or just leave it unplugged?.
Because I did the first, I removed the whole thing from the OEM strut and replaced tucked it in the same place where the EDC delete goes...
Those who have used the EDC delete kit when changing from OEM struts to coilovers: What do you do with the second sensor attached to the strut. See pic. After install Im dealing with some errors that I should not be getting and Im suspicious its related to that specific sensor. See pics the...
when you put the stock pads do you change the rotors as well or use the same rotors and if they are the same rotors do you need to clean the OEM compound from the rotors and bed the track pads again?
