The point of my post was to try and tease out what is rational and irrational for my goals from people with experience. I appreciate the insightful response.
Hey guys I am planning on my future mods and ultimately my goal is going to be around 750-800whp. I know I can get near there with a pure 900 and port injection but I want to do this safely with good supporting mods. This is a weekend street car so I won't be doing many digs or track days...
Yep stock clutch, feels fine thus far but the car only has 4K miles on it. Traction on the other hand is terrible haha. I was debating upgrading the clutch but I would rather abuse the stock one and then upgrade it when I do part 2 of the build.
Could you possibly explain reflex compatibility with bm3 vs mhd? I have heard that only MHD+ is reflex compatible but now bm3 has its own reflex kit and rom+. I know many people are tuned on ethanol with bm3. Is it just that with MHD its integrated into the ECU so you don't need the exact E blend?
The supra community seems inundated with the same folks: botti, sam, payn, etc. There are many reputable b58 bmw tuners out there. Does it make a difference to go with these guys for your average 500-600whp tune that isn't pushing the limits? I just see so many folks waiting for remote revisions...
Appreciate the responses! I will go with the flex fuel kit than. Just waiting for the snow / salt to hit and then I will send the ECU away while supra hibernates.
Thanks for the replies. Yes it seems like the full flex fuel kit is the way to go but installing that aftermarket "computer" on my car to actively adjust the tune scares me a bit. Maybe I am overcomplicating a simple thing?
So I have done some research and will be getting FEMTO unlocked and tuned with BM3 or MHD on ethanol soon. Adjustable flex fuel kits like visconti seem like a no brainer however the concept of wiring this in seems like a potential for long term issues. A few years from now will this go bad and...
I park in an underground public garage so there is a chance someone touched it. I would have thought the full alarm would go off unless it has some type of warning feature. It is a tight squeeze (between two concrete pillars) thus the proximity sensors have a symphony every time I park. Not sure...
Greetings all. I got a nocturnal 2023 MT 1 month ago and new to the forums. Apologies if this was discussed before but I couldn't find this specific problem. I locked my car as usual and 5 minutes later came back down to the garage and found the headlights flashing. I opened / closed the door...
