whamp whamp. I would expect nothing less, it is an LE I bought in 2019 so very early into production. But did you mean oil pump? its not the fuel pump I am concerned with.
Ok, thanks I will keep an eye on it. While I understand they did the switch over sometime early on, I have an LE so it is most likely a plastic version in there.
I was watching the referenced youtube video from FCP Euro on the B58s. At ~16 min mark they talk about the issue with the plastic oil pump failure. The claim is that if you use the recommended oil 0w-20 you will not have a problem but if you use a thicker oil it will cause the plastic inside the...
Assuming the color is off, I do not know what could be causing a red tint. The last time I cleaned the mst air filter and resprayed it with the red oil was well over a year ago. As the bmw coolant is yellowish green I don’t think that would do it.
I last changed me oil during the winter and probably put on less than 200 miles since but I went in anyway to do a change today. The oil is looking a little red. I don’t know if this is normal and I just never noticed because i usually go longer when the oil is much darker or does this indicate...
There is no way toyota factored in the tariff. No one knew that circus was coming. Even the switch 2 pre order was cancelled and that was just announced Wednesday at 9am.
Its amazing how this oil consumption issue is so hit and miss. I never had a consumption issue on my 2020. Even when i drove from redmond wa to long island ny, 3000 miles over 4 days the oil level remained pegged right where it was supposed to be.
I am sad to announce that after proper testing, the auto start/stop is very much alive with -519 despite deactivating it or setting it to memory with bimmercode.
So in doing a little more research, it could be that the auto stop was not kicking in as i was idling and reading the bimmercode settings was because my seatbelt was not fastened. I will test tomorrow but it will probably impact me. The auto start-stop disable icon was not on the dash so there...
wait I found it, I am at S18T-24-3-519
I tried coding again the mirror tilt. It recoded, the ECU rebooted, I even turned off and on the car but it still does not tilt in reverse. That being said, the engine auto shutoff still does not kick in either. I guess all told I will trade the tilt for...
How can you tell what version you are on? I got the recall done today. It did not seem like there are any issues other than the mirror does not tilt when I put it in reverse. The map is now updated to my region and I had to reset my time zone. The car preferences were all still intact and when I...
Ok im going for it i guess. my 2020 has never seen a dealership so going in next week for the dme, brake-start button, and camera fix. Hoping for a problem free experience. The dealership claims they have the computer to do it. Sunrise Toyota in Oakdale NY (long island)
Wait a sec, the dcm update breaks bimmercode’s ability to code out the auto start stop feature but does it also just straight up disable the auto start stop button so that you cannot disable it every time you start the car?
I dont think that one is for the supra. I pulled off the cover and the BMW part number is the T62334A. Just dont know what the toyota part number is. If I buy from BMW it will probably be 3x the price
Anyone happen to know what PN this plastic cover is that holds the cabin air filter in? It seems that after 4 years, one of the plastic clips decided to break off when removing it.
almost worked...... I can set it correctly but the setting always reverts back. The hotline cannot answer. I might need to get it updated via the dealer. I wonder if there is a bimmercode setting
By any chance does anyone know how to change the automatic map update setting? I’m stuck on a state I haven’t lived in in years. I updated the position but the old state remains (nav-settings-position and software-automatic map updates)
I seem to remember there was a way to select your region...
