I put H&Rs on my MT and didn't like the drop in the rear. Swapped to Swift Spec R's and I think they are perfect. 1.2" drop all around and I don't scrape.

pardon my absolute ignorance but I don't know anything about drag racing. Why would lowering springs contribute to breaking axles at the strip?

Not at all in my opinion. The added weight allows the shifter to slide into the gate easier which I believe gives me more tactile feedback. I always know what gear its in based on position feel regardless of shiftknob weight though.
