They can affect steering/stability and also put increased strain on the wheel bearing. Not usually a big issue if the width is reasonable, but not everyone is reasonable. There was a video recently of a truck wheel that sheered off and sent another car flying.
This is my hope. I haven't gotten it on track yet, but I've noticed even just going around fast sweeping curves on the road if you hit a big bump the car wants to rotate. I'm hoping I can give it enough camber and toe-in in the rear to keep it from becoming a real issue. Also, I think keeping...
I had a funny encounter a couple days ago in my townhouse community. There are no garages (horrifying, I know), just a parking lot. I had just washed it and was drying the last few spots when this old lady is struggling to park her SUV next to me. She finally gives up and gets out while her car...
I don't know, and I don't know much about the CDV in general, but I found this on the first site that came up on google and it sounds a lot like what @NitroYellowMKV is encountering:
A Clutch Delay Valve (CDV) is a one-way restrictor, located between the clutch slave and clutch master...
You must be joking. As much as Virginia's personal property tax has made me consider moving to Maryland, the prospect of encountering even more awful Maryland drivers than I do on a daily basis always keeps me from pulling the trigger.
Awesome, thanks! I did end up heading to Katie's and it was pretty packed despite being cold and windy. Saw a couple other Supras there as well. Will def go back when it's nicer and probably check out the Leesburg one sometime too.
I don't think the Zandvoort Blue is necessarily a bad color, but it's hard to make anything look good on that body. Probably needs black or a dark grey or blue (both of which they don't have) to hide the harsh lines a bit.
Still not working for me. I wouldn't even know who to call about it. Figure it is something with the feed from BMW. I feel like calling the dealer would be a waste of time.
I had the 1521’s on my last car and they were a great performance street pad with very low dust and noise compared to my stock pads. Never ran them on track though.
They still seem to be in very limited supply around me. Seems most are sold well before they hit the lot. Some of those listed show a 5-10K markup, but no idea what they are actually selling for.
Hmm, I always thought that BP was Top Tier, but don't see it listed anymore. I used to go to an Exxon that is close, but it is really tight to get in and out of with the Supra, so have been going further to a BP that is cheaper. May have to find another option.
The MT ratios and final drive seem like they would be pretty good for the track or performance driving in general, and going any taller down low would probably sacrifice the key acceleration metrics. But my issue is when OEM's throw short final drives in to get the times it means you are...
