Yes, fully stock. I'll do some runs like you said along with some logging and see if I can find some e85 around here to add. What email do you use for them?
I installed it yesterday. Thought I updated firmware but actually didn't so it was using the default or whatever it comes with when first connecting it. Noticed a whistling/whining when I had my hood up, not sure if it was just a cold start loop thing but just never noticed it before. Did some...
Hagerty. It’s an agreed value policy so you can put whatever amount you want to cover for your car. Higher values make it more expensive, obviously.
For my Porsche, it was around $340 for a single track day. If you have two track days in a row, it would be about $360 to cover both days. Much...
Yeah this is why I didn’t want to get a GT4 for the track as well lol. Already had some close calls in my 718 Cayman.
I also always buy track insurance for extra peace of mind
I’d be curious to know how they can technically prove it as well, since the ECU is locked and would be untouched. My initial understanding is that boost values (and maybe some other values?) will read higher than a set limit, so that would be questionable as to why, but couldn’t something else...
Ah, okay. Have not looked into that yet. Thanks. Before I purchase that I’m going to see if there’s any apps that will show the same thing but work with the Kiwi3.
Thanks! Yeah I know there’s a lot of factors. I was specially asking in dry conditions. Wet it breaks loose easily in 3rd. I didn’t want to type out every scenario ones car might do it in lol. Figured dry 80 degree day was good enough.
I just bought Bimmercode and used it with my Kiwi3 OBD...
Think Toyota will announce a fix for this eventually? Outside of here and a few other forums, I don’t see anything about the issue.
My JB4 is supposed to be coming in today. I’m wondering if I should install it or wait until I hit 3k miles and see if I have the issue.
I wouldn’t want Toyota...
Okay thanks guys, the guy I was talking to must have had or known some tuned ones then. Made me feel like mine was slow… it doesn’t feel slow but when another car person says something about others loosing traction in 3rd at 45mph, made me wonder.
JB4 is coming in tomorrow. Will report back...
I am very likely overly concerned for no reason but I’m curious to know if other stock non-tuned 2021’s have traction in 3rd gear and stomp on it on a dry 80 degree day.
If you’re in 3rd gear, going around 45mph and stomp on it does the car hook or does the rear end swing out from losing...
Awesome! It's a great technical track and a nice facility. I've been to Grattan twice, and what a demanding and challenging track. Very fast as well.
Did you take your Supra to Grattan?
Well that's another vote for possible alignment issue! Glad to hear you got it sorted just by getting an alignment. Interesting how these vary so much from factory and how it can change the car drastically. I am still going to get some Swift lowering springs (I found some!) and 18" Apex SM-10...
Glad to hear from two people that it's could just be an out of whack alignment which is what I figured. Happens pretty reliably which is good, because knowing how the car will react under certain circumstances is better than not knowing when braking and heading into a turn.
I have an alignment...
Haven't taken my 2021 Supra to the track yet but am in a couple weeks, so I am posting this here in hopes of learning more before track day.
I did some heavy braking from a high speed down to about 50-60 MPH the rear end became unstable, going all over the place compared to my 718. Was working...
Haha yeah. I have a PB time of 1:18.34 that I did in my 718 Cayman on full slicks. Curious to see how this will stack up. Also trying to secure some 18" Apex SM-10's and Advan A052's befor the 11th.
That looks perfect, I may not opt for the Superdowns if those photos are their standard set...
Thank you. Did you install them yet? Curious how that drop is compared to their "super down" springs, and the handling difference. Hard to tell from their photos.
The ZF8 is great, and that's coming from someone who just traded a PDK equipped 718 Cayman for the Supra! While the ZF8 is great, the PDK was better. I don't think anyone could disagree. Shifts never once let me down, never a blip of hesitation or delay. Never. Crazy how rock solid it felt...
I am looking to get either H&R, Eibach, or Swift lowering springs but everywhere I look is out of stock. Trying to get some before my July 11 track day. I'm new to the world of parts for this car/manufacturer. If this was a Porsche, I would know exactly where to buy parts lol.
What websites are...
Think so? This is only my third brand new car I bought so I hope the hard break in works well for it. Second brand new car I bought was a 2017 Audi S3. I followed the break in per the manual but ended up replacing the motor, out of pocket, due to a possible bad tune. Probably a factor as to why...
