  1. Clunk while in Corners?

I was about to ask you how it went there today and how the car was and if I need to pay attention to anything because I’m going there tomorrow for my first time in this car (it will be retaining though, so it will be interesting). Sorry to hear you didn’t have a good day. That seems like a...
  2. Where to buy lowering springs?

New bump stops and studs installed along with new wheels with 12mm spacers in front. Car rides great, no rattles. Unfortunately the front tire rubs very slightly upon compression. Running 275/40-18 squared. Not sure if I can get any more negative camber up front with stock parts. If so, I am...
  3. Swift Springs experience

Mine didn't ship with silencers and I am getting some noise, however I am not sure that's causing the slight rattle. Sounds like it might be something else.
  4. Rear unstable under heavy braking

Wow, that’s no good. Any idea why it would have failed so early? Makes me want to move to SPL products ASAP. When you say move it, you mean by hand? Was it easy to tell it was shot? I’m sorry to hear that. What a bummer.
  5. B58 Reliability when pushed

Yeah he tracks it a lot for sure lol. I really like his build and vids. @JackieD86 gets great times on the tracks he goes to and that’s actually my inspiration for getting a Supra. I frequent local tracks such as Waterford Hills and Grattan and have some personal bests to beat. I just learned...
  6. Where to buy lowering springs?

Just picked the BMW bump stops up. At first inspection they feel stiffer than the Supra’s. I’ll confirm if my findings are right when I install them. I’m no expert but I wouldn’t think a slightly stiffer front bump stop would make any negative difference.
  7. B58 Reliability when pushed

So I’ve heard the B58 is supposed to be a strong, reliable engine with mostly forged internals (I believe pistons are cast?) which is one of the reasons I bought the car, as I will be making it a track weapon. I came from a 718 Cayman that had fully forged internals and a good low friction...
  8. Rear unstable under heavy braking

Great info, thanks. I plan on getting a feel for the car as close to stock as possible then upgrade things I feel I need to improve the handling and feel of the car. Brake pads are next in my list for sure.
  9. Where to buy lowering springs?

You win! Thank you for posting that. I was able to get a couple overnighted to a local BMW dealership and I will be picking them up in the next couple days! They look exactly the same and should work perfectly. Now if I can only figure out what's causing the front right to rattle... Hard to...
  10. Firmware upgrade for iDrive Toyota Supra MKV

I’m confused. Does every Supra not come with full screen Apple Car Play from the factory? Mine came with full screen Apple Car Play the day I bought it. I have a 2021 3.0 premium.
  11. Do we wave?

I would wave, nod, thumbs up, etc., but... I've seen only two. One of whome I met while cruising, and another across the street when driving. Definitely rare in my area. If I had either a Camaro, Corvette, Charger, or Mustang I wouldn't wave. My arm would be sore from waving every second of my...
  12. Interesting information from a BMW forum - ISTA - Engine Flagged

I would gladly pay for a manufacture tune if it offered good performance gains and some sort of warranty. Even if it didn’t, I may still consider it if it was deemed “safer”. What price would I pay? $2500 max.
  13. Where to buy lowering springs?

Okay so I’m pretty upset because I just found out Swift designs their springs with the bump stops in OEM form, not trimmed. I trimmed my two front ones. I left the rear bump stops as is. Any one know where I can find replacement bump stops? I have a track day the 11th. Would like to get them in...
  14. Where to buy lowering springs?

I just got some Swift springs. Tried searching for install instructions and didn't find any because I am wondering if I am supposed to trim the bump stop. I heard some have, so I did. Well, further googling led to me finding out that that on other vehicles, they recommend keeping the stock bump...
  15. Anyone using JB4?

Yeah I plan on adding some octane even though the person on the n54tech forums said I could use regular 93 pump fuel to start with map 4.
  16. Rear unstable under heavy braking

Can't compare on track yet. I'll be heading to the track with my Supra for the first time next week and will report back my findings on how the ZF8 compares to the PDK. As for daily driving and some spirited driving, the ZF8 is still a great transmission and it's hard to believe it's a torque...
  17. Anyone using JB4?

Cool, thanks. Just hope running map 3, which felt slow up top compared to stock, didn't cause any harm. I wasn't logging so not sure how much timing was pulled. The guys over at the n54 tech forums made me concerned for a second... I switched to the absolute map, map 4, per their...
  18. Rear unstable under heavy braking

Awesome. I bet it’s a joy to drive. My 718 had a PDK. Best transmission ever, don’t care if it isn’t manual because it was amazing. I’ll for sure be back in a Porsche after I have some fun with my Supra. Trying to get my Supra to be quicker than my 718 around a track!
  19. Rear unstable under heavy braking

Curious, did you own the GT3? That seems like a car that if I had, I’d never want to get rid of. I agree the Supra is a great value for both a fast daily and a performance track toy. With a few modifications and added aero, I’ve seen them throw down lap times close to corvettes and vipers on...
  20. Rear unstable under heavy braking

That makes sense! The 718 Cayman was very balanced when braking. I find it interesting how many people who had or have Porsches got the Supra. Will be curious to know your thoughts after you take it to Mid-Ohio. How are you liking the Supra compared to the other three cars you mentioned?
