Awesome. Sounds like the good is outweighing the bad ? I was just one of the unfortunate ones lol.
Good to know, thank you! So if going to a wider wheel and tire set up on the front is something you want to do, you might still run into some clearing and rubbing issues with the MSS VS HKS...
Glad theres more options now! FWIW, I never had to remove springs from the HKS HAS either when adjusting.
Whats the diameter difference on the MSS spring perch vs OEM?
Yeah, I’ve heard both good and bad, thankfully you’ve had good experiences and unfortunately my experience was bad, so I’m just sharing it, much like you can share your positive experiences. This is why I am just cautioning the OP, and for them to do their own research.
Not familiar with that...
Yes, I had those before going full coilovers and they are worth every penny IMO.
Noticed a “Speed Industry” logo on the image. Word of caution if you decide to go with them: Due your own research on Speed Industry before you decide to buy from them. I purchased from them and never received my...
What a very interesting thread to read through.
My dealership experience when buying a car have been great. Every one. By FAR the best dealership experience I have had was with a Porsche dealer in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I want to buy a Porsche from them again just to experience it all over again...
Tires are one of the biggest factors in changing a cars handling behavior. The affect they have on handling is often underestimated. I'm not surprised you are feeling the affects of the change.
A few thoughts on why you feel some floating:
Going with two different types front/rear will...
The throttle valve/intake pipe code sounds like a code the JB+ is causing. Don’t think it’s a concern and is normal.
The other one sounds like it could be related to fuel starve. You take the car to the track or push the car through a turn recently with low fuel?
I would remove it all together.
Also, can you please find out what the “recall” is and what it entails? I haven’t heard anything about an oil pump recall…
Awesome to see you tracking your Supra a lot recently. How’s it feeling?
Also, what alignment kit and swivel plates did you get? Looking to get some myself so I don’t have to deal with shops messing my car up anymore and save some money, too.
Usually I like C&D reviews but this one seems a bit off to me.
I’d probably choose the Mach 1 over the Supra as well with how they were both set up for this “comparison”. But only in the performance category. I wouldn’t choose it over Supra in the styling category. To me, it’s still a mustang...
Yeah, it's always best to check tire pressures after they're mounted. Shops always over inflate them, usually to 40+ PSI and that makes them feel scary on the highway.
I am selling my JB4 with EWG + Wireless Bluetooth kit for $500 shipped. Good condition.
I have no need for it anymore, as my lap times on the track are similar with or without it. Figure someone else would have a better purpose for it.
Pictures attached.
You said you have the Firestone Indy tires? As in the Indy500 Tires? That's what I have as my daily street tire on stock wheels and yes, they definitely sway a lot when new but get a little better over time as they wear in. I had the same issue. Also, more than spec negative camber and higher...
@zrk is correct regarding threatening legal action. I had one instance with a car brand that I owned where I threatened legal action for not covering a failure and immediately got shut down and any other progress went down the toilet. Hard lesson learned but nonetheless, I learned my lesson and...
Strange that my consumption seems to have slowed down after the 20k mile mark and plenty of track days later.
I did 3 track days back to back (Gridlife Midwest time attack) and also put about 2k miles on it since my last oil change. Level is still at max. It used to go down a notch, at minimum...
