Pretty sure it’s not DI. I can hear all the injectors firing fast. This tick seems to be a single source, as if it was one lifter or something ticking. Maybe bad injector? When my car is off the jack stands and control arms are fixed, I will start it up and try and get a sound clip.

So it does seem I have a slight intermittent hydraulic lifter tick on cold starts. At least that’s what it sounds like to me. Anyone know how this can be fixed? Is it because I’m using a thicker oil? Or am I just paranoid lol.

Thanks! It’s an awesome and pretty challenging track to master, yet also very safe. It has a lot of runoff if you happen to slide off the track which is why I like it. You can push yourself and the car without risking going into a wall or solid object lol. Only at turn 11 can that really happen.

Finally joined the Sub40 club at GingerMan raceway lol. New personal best lap time of a 1:39.03. For those who don’t know much about GingerMan raceway, going below 1:40 is a pretty nice challenge. Short vid of my session below.
