Cool and interesting find, thanks. I have noticed my steering feeling "loose" as of lately and I do have clunking in the front end (I do have a lot of SPL parts though). I wonder if this could help fix both issues.
Will give it a shot after I order the tool.
That’s normal. All cars I’ve owned have had occasional misfires in that range. My Supra included. Nothing to be worried about… unless it’s an Audi S3 engine that has over 50 misfires in a 15 minute drive…
Does anyone know how to set the ride height back to factory spec?
I’d like to get my ride heights set back to factory specs. I have an alignment sheet that apparently has ride height specs but am unsure what the measuring points are. Recommended heights are as follows:
Front: 23.98” to 24.76”...
Sounds okay to me, pretty much what mine sounds like. I also intermittently have that "knocking" sound which apparently is common. No idea what it is though!
Update for anyone fallowing this thread. The tiny rear wheel wiggle/click problem was the inner heim joint on my left rear SPL toe arm. Replacement heim joint coming in Tuesday.
I don’t think it’s what’s causing the squishy rear end feel, though. I’m looking into it being caused by bump steer...
If it were me, I'd siphon some out (at least 5 gallons) and go get some 93 to put in before even starting or driving it. But I'm always overly cautious.
So you put in around 10 gallons of E85? That's roughly like, E60-ish, way too much ethanol for stock fuel system and tune.
Definitely siphon some out as @zrk said above. Sounds like you might have been trying to go E30 but got the mix backwards.
Thanks all. I also think it’s either a wheel bearing or heim joint. I don’t see any play in the toe link heim joints with some close up videos I took, so that makes me lean towards a bad wheel bearing. I need to figure out how I can test the bearing to know for sure if that’s it.
I haven’t...
