I'm baffled by this too. With mine being my daily, I just can't see myself sending my ECU to Finland or wherever they are. I'm sure if someone stateside started doing it, they'd instantly have a bunch of orders (people like me who don't like the idea of mailing my ECU overseas).
For now, I'll...
Ok...I have to admit, that is very similar. How have I never noticed that? Even the inner lights have the little clear circle in the center.
edit: Ahh...those Impala lights are aftermarket. That's why I never noticed the similarity?

I stopped being offended by non-car people when someone thought my '93 FD was a Ford Taurus (because of the rear lights).
The poor things don't know any better?
Porsches are nice and all...and everyone makes their purchases based on different factors...but a huge factor for me, are looks. For me, the Supra is just such a unique looking car. People who know nothing about cars think it's some kind of exotic. I get approached all the time just while...
It's easy to maintain, reliable, and super fun...but not practical at all imo. If you're ok with that, I'd say yes. If you need more than 2 seats and/or comfortable/ample storage, I'd say no.
I daily drive mine, but I'm a single man with no kids or pets. It works for me and my needs/desires. I...
That would be cool, but it still has me asking the question: What happens to the Supra if the MR2 is given more hp than the Supra?
I wouldn't argue against a 500hp+ Supra, but at that point, it seems like the Toyota (GR) lineup would be saturated. Supra, MR2, Corolla/Yaris, 86. Their...
I've been seeing more and more articles/videos on the new MR2, and it just has me asking questions. If it really has 600+ hp, it will be nearly twice that of the Supra. Will we get an 800+ hp Supra to compensate, or are the 600hp predictions just way off? Will the Supra be discontinued as the...
I'm in Lakeland, and not in a flood zone, so I'm praying I'll be alright. But raising it a few inches is definitely something I'll be considering going forward.
Be safe.
Wow!. I love my Supra and all...but to pay $2.1 million for a car that is still in production, and costs $55k new? That's mental.
I swear, some of these filthy rich people have nothing better to do with all the money they've accumulated, lol.
Love it.
As far I know, we only have one life to live. The way I see it...as long as you're not being irresponsible with your obligations, or hurting anyone...why not enjoy your free time the way you enjoy it? It doesn't matter if others think it's wasteful. They're not living your life.
My problem is coming up with excuses to drive, and wasting gas for no reason (other than smiles per gallon). I sometimes walk into my garage just to look at it, in hopes that I get it out of my system before I jump in to drive nowhere?
That's interesting. I hadn't considered someone hacking the car. That still doesn't explain the need to lock it though (unless there's something I'm not fully understanding?).
Remote hacking would involve accessing the ECU remotely, over some kind of Wifi connection. When ECU's are programmed...
I suppose that could be part of it. But if we're doing the modding after purchase, then Toyota should be safe from the repercussions.
But then when I think about it...the EPA would likely still come down on manufacturers for not making it harder for modders.
It's just so aggravating. It's not...
