  1. Oil Level Analysis with EcuTek

iDrive seemed a little more accurate today, it shows oil level at 25% (one notch above minimum). BimmerLink shows 80mm. So this is more in line with the other findings in this thread.
  2. Brake Fluid service @ 10k miles????

IMO if the car is informing you to change brake fluid, just do it. There's not much to be gained trying to squeeze extra life out of it, even if you don't drive it there's potential for brake fluid to absorb water. It's not that expensive unless you're using something like Castrol SRF. Also...
  3. Oil Level Analysis with EcuTek

iDrive was showing my oil level at "50%", but BimmerLink showed 79mm which should be "0%" ?
  4. Dash Camera Discussion / What Dash Cams are you guys using?

I came across the Vortex channel recently as well, there's some solid reviews there. I personally don't really follow Linus Tech Tips, I've also been building PCs for over a decade. Just can't really stand him ?‍♂️
  5. Post 6/2020 ECU unlocked in US

What's it running for now if you don't mind me asking? I actually had the PPE clone service done at the beginning of this year, but that was with last year's Black Friday special.
  6. Driveway Labs Door Pulls Kit

Nah you're good. I was being sarcastic. My comment about SI units was more about the engineers actually taking us to the moon.
  7. Driveway Labs Door Pulls Kit

I know you're joking around, but it's still worth mentioning that all engineers/scientists use SI units.

What's the conversion between degrees American and degrees Fahrenheit
  9. B58 Oil Change - I added 7L of oil (thinking I was adding 7 quarts) - should I be concerned?

The oil capacity is 6.9 quarts, which is equivalent to 6.5 liters. Should be fine. Edit: misread your post. You filled with 7 liters. A bit of an overfill, if you want the peace of mind you might get the car back up and just drain half a liter. The iDrive oil sensor system can be a bit unreliable

  11. Moving soon — questions, recommendations

Chiming in as a former Seattleite. To have a commute time of < 30 minutes around the city you would have to live very close. Traffic just seems to get worse every year, the freeways aren't really that wide, but as mentioned by others the expansion of the light rail system makes it a good...

If you used the sealant kit from the trunk, you're probably gonna need a new TPMS sensor too.
  13. Cracked Seibon Carbon Wing

There's starving people out there that could have eaten that spoiler.
  14. Death of ICE cars

I try not to follow heavily political topics, and environmental policy has become a huge political game, so admittedly I don't know too much detail on the pros and cons either. That said, if you admit that you aren't knowledgeable on the topic, how do you know that what other people are sharing...
  15. FS: antigravity Lithium Ion Battery

Sweet deal, just picked up the same one last month too.
  16. Driveway Labs - Yes I really just work in my driveway

This just reminds me of the time I saw a Supra in Phantom evolve on JBLM. Fellow Spec-4 owned it and I chatted with him in line at the DFAC. After dinner I left and saw it with a shattered headlight and dented hood. He let some other guy drive it and in the span of an hour it went from pristine...
