I wish Rexpeed offered these painted spoilers in either a satin black or gloss black (non metallic) option to match the OE black trim pieces on the Supra...

I had this happen to me after I picked up the car and finally discovered the handle wasn't secured in place against the hatch wall...
fun fact: the plastic handle actually glows in the dark!
The strips are actually cut from 15.7" x 9.8" adhesive backed foam pads used to surpress vibrations and noise....I intend to use the remaining pads to insulate the front doors which will be my next project....
And finally, after all the improvements made, which are outlined in this thread, here are my latest settings below...I can now increase volume to 2/3 of max and significantly raise low bass EQ settings without experiencing any low bass distortions or vibrational noise...Bass is deeper, clearer...
Meh, I've spent far more on far less...LOL!!! And it's all relative isn't it?...I'm fortunate that $180 isn't really considered a big expensive for me...It's just play money...
I also use the cubby quite a bit and it's not really out of sight...Love seeing it when I climb in for a ride....
Some additional improvement tips (update added to original post):
For those that have completed this project, which involved lining the walls of the speaker enclosures, placing foam insulation between enclosure and narrow rear panel, and adding exhaust ports, I've also identified that there is...
As I mentioned earlier there is also another alternative to adding a port and that would be to simply cover the rear cover panel 2" exhaust holes with a grill cover as shown above...This will also eliminate the need to cover the 3 elongated exhaust posts with mesh covering...
Those that already...
No...the factory doesn't install screws located under the cubby pad...they just utilize the 5 clips to secure it in place...did you transfer the 5 metal gator clips from the OE posts over to the CF cubby posts? Mine holds very well and I had no problem with fitment...
yup exactly...after purchasing over 25 new cars in my life time I don't have the patience to listen to someone offering something I don't want....Most Finance guys get it and are happy to move the process along fairly quickly without any pressuring...
When I walk into Finance to finalize paper work on my new car purchases I let them know immediately I don't want anything extra and where do I sign and please give me the keys...thank you...
Personally, I don't mind the grill appearance and they seem to blend into the rest of the trim...
Some of the music I enjoy is Ethereal Techno and EDM that has some very low bass notes and I like to listen to it played at 2/3 volume...This really tests the systems bass response!
At those low...
Are you talking about the large sub cover (#11) below? Or the sub grills (#14)?
If it's grill covers your speaking of, then sure you can remove them, but personally I don't think that would look any better...
Wish we could, but once you remove the cubby cover you'll see there is no room to make it deeper...Also, its not likely NVS would redesign direct-replacement parts...
