  1. Exhaust Chat, do we get OPF/GPF error?

I ordered and fitted today the Akrapovic OPF back, see my above post. i wasn't prepared to pay the even sillier price for their OPF delete section, so I ordered this instead...
  2. Exhaust Chat, do we get OPF/GPF error?

So I just fitted the Akrapovic rear section this morning, I wasn't expecting much and not much is what I got, a tiny difference in tone and volume. Furthermore not overly impressed with build quality, the exhaust valve slot is not at the same angle in relation to the mount for the actuator as...
  3. Disappointed with my European spec Supra

Andorra is out on a limb, it's outside the EU, but you drive mainly in France or Spain and it's a French spec car. I have the EU certification certificate with it, but it wasn't needed to register it. The first MOT equivalent is 5 years and then every two years. Legally it's all a grey area, my...
  4. Disappointed with my European spec Supra

I had a good look at it but to be honest I don't really like the concept of one pipe running down under after the diff, looks like a bodge job. Also the problem is it seems most of the US systems do not fit the Euro cars. I'm looking at an Invidia system which I had on my 370Z, it has an...
  5. Disappointed with my European spec Supra

Thanks for all the feedback, definitely going to get the alignment checked first. I just found somebody selling a custom made cat back system, it's a good price, equivalent to 1100 USD and it look interesting. Here's some photos, I would be interested in feedback: With twin vacuum valves it...
  6. Disappointed with my European spec Supra

I often drive a Yaris Gr, it's way louder in the cabin than the Supra. But how much of that is synthetic I don't know.
  7. Disappointed with my European spec Supra

It was a Cayman S PDK, so 350HP. I've come to cars after most of my life getting kicks on fast motorbikes but it's simply pointless here now with the level of policing to ride a bike around at 50mph on the long straight roads but I'm a little too old to be pushing my luck in the mountains on 2...
  8. Disappointed with my European spec Supra

How so? The EU is a lot like the USA, although ironically while each country remains independent some things like emissions are centralised. But each country takes their own approach to eco tax.
  9. Disappointed with my European spec Supra

No chance of a test drive, it had 8 miles on it in the showroom and it's the only one I've seen in this part of the world due to the eco taxes in France. Had to ask nicely to sit in it. So I read and watched plenty of reviews but none really talked about how different the current Euro spec is...
  10. Disappointed with my European spec Supra

The Cayman was arriving at the point of potentially expensive bills, I sold it for almost the cost of a new Supra. It was an impulse buy while looking for a Yaris GR, the Supra was a cancelled order, been sat in the show room for a few months and the dealer was keen to deal.
  11. Disappointed with my European spec Supra

Especially funny because Andorra is a tax haven and stuffed full of rich people, one of the cleanest and safest places in the world.
  12. Disappointed with my European spec Supra

This is the top end of the eco tax scale, g/km de CO2 on the left, 2022 rate in the middle and 2023 on the right in Euros, so multiply by 1.1 for USD. At 226 exactly my old S2000 would now be 50k eco tax. This is the Supra :
  13. Disappointed with my European spec Supra

Apart from being LHD mine will likely be the same spec, I see Garage Whifbitz aren't far from my part of the UK, Bristol and Hereford, might be worth a visit when I'm next back. Tunnels just aren't fun anymore;)
  14. Disappointed with my European spec Supra

It's between France and Spain, apart from all the mountain roads, the best bit is that unlike France isn't doesn't have an eco tax on cars, which is 20K for a Supra in France now.
  15. Disappointed with my European spec Supra

The cheapest seller I could find who would ship an oil change kit internationally was $115, cost me another $100 for delivery. Mind you oil only here was $485.
  16. Disappointed with my European spec Supra

You're not wrong, although even BMW charge an arm and a leg for the correct oil. I bought directly from the states and even with international shipping and duty it was fraction of the cost to buy here.
  17. Disappointed with my European spec Supra

High guys, my first post to say I feel a bit cheated. Just switched into a new 2023 Supra from a 2017 Cayman S. Watched and read loads of reviews and I was prepared for the handling to be a little less than the Porsche, what I didn't expect (given that the Cayman was the 4 cylinder less nice...
