I came from a car that excelled in the twisties so I know what you mean. But living in Dallas (flat grid for almost 50 miles in any direction), I find a little more fun with the accelerator pedal than the steering wheel. You're in the mountains so I can see how you'd have a different point of view.

Curious which Caymen you had? Base, S, GTS..

Regarding things you can do to improve the car in twisties? My experience nothing more than tires and sways. Otherwise the car is what the car is in this dimension.
It was a Cayman S PDK, so 350HP. I've come to cars after most of my life getting kicks on fast motorbikes but it's simply pointless here now with the level of policing to ride a bike around at 50mph on the long straight roads but I'm a little too old to be pushing my luck in the mountains on 2 wheels.

I think what Europe has is actually slightly different than US Spec 2020 Supras, which had a B58B30C. I couldn't tell you the difference between those 2 ports though.

Euro Supras get the same engine that is in every 40i BMW(non M-performance). Lucky us for getting the spicy version - but won't make much of difference after tuning.
I have the '23 UK spec and my engine code is B58B30C which is the TU (B58B30M1).

The Cayman was arriving at the point of potentially expensive bills, I sold it for almost the cost of a new Supra. It was an impulse buy while looking for a Yaris GR, the Supra was a cancelled order, been sat in the show room for a few months and the dealer was keen to deal.
If you think the Supra is quiet im afraid the GR Yaris could pass as electric. I couldnt belive the uplift on 4 pot Caymans over Covid. I originally wanted one but by the time i got there it made no sense.

I often drive a Yaris Gr, it's way louder in the cabin than the Supra. But how much of that is synthetic I don't know.

Coming to the Supra from a Cayman myself (718, 2.0) a few things that'll help you.

- Eibach Pro spring kit, it's a small drop in ride height, but the change in body control is sublime.
- A proper, and I mean truly proper alignment from a specialist. Failing that get in touch with Manthey Racing/Raeder Motorsport for their specs. The Supra is renowned for coming from the factory with a bad alignment. Mine was so bad I was going to get rid of the car.
- Change the tyres. Michelin PSS were good a decade ago, PS4S, Goodyear F1 SS etc. are all a huge improvement.
- xHP Stage 2 flash for the gearbox. It closes up to what a PDK can do, it'll never be the perfection that a PDK is, but it's a huge improvement over stock.

A 200 CEL sport cat frees up a hell of a good sound without the dubious act of removing emissions hardware. If you're not concerned about warranty, an off-the-shelf Stage 2 map gets you 500 HP and >700 Nm torque on 99 RON.

Nitroyellow, do you have a website? I’ve read a lot of good things about your steering wheels and interested in learning more about pricing and options.

Thanks for all the feedback, definitely going to get the alignment checked first. I just found somebody selling a custom made cat back system, it's a good price, equivalent to 1100 USD and it look interesting. Here's some photos, I would be interested in feedback: With twin vacuum valves it looks like almost straight through when open. seller says the closed sound is similar to stock (european) sport sound. Only problem is he won't ship and it's a 14 hour round trip.

What are the MOT, emissions and Highway rules where you are? I know a lot of people dont care and swap them out before any tests if they need to but that looks like an OPF/filter delete system. You may be keeping the CAT but in the UK its against the law to remove the particulate filter if that matters to you. No judgment, i just wanted to make sure you knew.

Have you considered a exhaust from Garage Whifbitz? They are UK based and ship all over Europe.

It also retains the OEM electronic valve system. You would also need a OPF delete harness if you don't plan to flash your DME.

I had a good look at it but to be honest I don't really like the concept of one pipe running down under after the diff, looks like a bodge job. Also the problem is it seems most of the US systems do not fit the Euro cars. I'm looking at an Invidia system which I had on my 370Z, it has an optional OPF delete pipe like an Akrapovic but is half the price.

Andorra is out on a limb, it's outside the EU, but you drive mainly in France or Spain and it's a French spec car. I have the EU certification certificate with it, but it wasn't needed to register it. The first MOT equivalent is 5 years and then every two years. Legally it's all a grey area, my son is the actual owner of the car as an Andorran resident, I'm a named driver on the insurance, although I am French resident but I have a UK driving licence. Andorra has no reciprocal agreement for traffic offences which is a bonus especially with the 50mph limit and the private speed camera cars with front and rear facing cameras that are everywhere in France.
