There are 4 bolts that are attached to a small plate that connects the 2 mid-pipes. See if you can loosen that and re-align. Mine are spot on (when I had it installed the first time).

I went a different route and search for mine at a different state. Paid the shipping and called it a day. It all depends on the ports here in the west coast. Sometimes they process and release quickly, a lot of the time it takes a few weeks. Not sure if you guys east are seeing the same.

Does the trunk release button inside the car trigger without the key present? If not, wouldn't it be easier to wire a momentary switch directly to that instead?
I have tried both configurations and it still pops off. I actually hear it pop off after quickly letting off the throttle. Does not matter if I send it or not. I have some black tacky tape that I might line the pipe with to keep it from moving.
