  1. Interviews with Chief Engineer Tetsuya Tada

Shower thought. It would be easier and cheaper to make a bare bones inline 4 with a manual that can have a fantastic suspension, weight and base for engine swap be the goal for enthusiasts while the inline 6 is a display of tech and innovation. Not saying the i6 is not for enthusiasts but very...
  2. The A70TTR Dedication Thread!

Motortrend had a best car segment. The cayman gt4 was number 2 jn 2015 and the 911 Carrera s was number 3 in 2016. Misremembered
  3. The A70TTR Dedication Thread!

But Cayman is tbe better car no? The 911 is amazing but I am hearing the cayman gts or gt4 beats the 911 gt3 by 100k
  4. The A70TTR Dedication Thread!

My god. I don't mind the rcf but I can only see Toyota making it a 30-35(k vehicle at 3500 lbs. And while it would be a nice upscale coupe, it isn't a sports car. The fact there's this much bitching at a 4 cylinder supra makes me think Toyota would never let this shit go through the boards...
  5. The A70TTR Dedication Thread!

My questions are more stream of conscious than a regular one. Let me rephrase it. Had Tada not been the chief engineer, what would you imagine TMC slapping a supra badge on? EDIT: Never mind, took Loaded as in filled with several questions to answer, not the way it is defined in logic...
  6. The A70TTR Dedication Thread!

Oh, that reminds me, I know I asked a lot. Considering Tada had to fight very hard against Toyota to get the car he wanted, can you give us an example either car form or in words what could have been had Tada been denied everything he requested? Would it be that specs listed as a leak from Guff?
  7. Interviews with Chief Engineer Tetsuya Tada

Personally, I love driver focused cars because it puts a smile on my face. I don't care about interior, just an all around package so I respect Tada. People want pricing and this or that but don't understand the work to make it a reality. I'm included as my knowledge in the auto industry is...
  8. Interviews with Chief Engineer Tetsuya Tada

FTFY Cause honestly, a TS050 esque hybrid motor in tech, not hp mind you, slapped in the middle to power the car would be cool and make people look at Toyota like  These animals! Don't floor it, enjoy it when you get it
  9. Interviews with Chief Engineer Tetsuya Tada

I wish there was more individuals who worked at corporate levels who can give a breakdown of what really happens behind closed doors in terms of marketing and meeting regulations. I'm just grateful that it feels like 1998 with sports cars to choose from at a reasonable price. Right before we...
  10. The Toyota Supra Owner's Club Event featuring Tetsuya Tada & the A90 (photos/videos)

:( The policeman over here follows my car and keeps an eye on me because I have a shiny 86 and think I do drag races on the regular. Hope the mods are discreet and under the hood and not aesthetics if and when you get this I6
  11. The Toyota Supra Owner's Club Event featuring Tetsuya Tada & the A90 (photos/videos)

I am assuming since they gave the 86 to those guys and showed potential at launch with that car. A supra with this motor, vents and weight might make a RWB-esque following to show you can make it whatever you want
  12. The Toyota Supra Owner's Club Event featuring Tetsuya Tada & the A90 (photos/videos)

Gotta wait to see if HKS and other modders will show day one tunes on launch. If the 86 can have such support, this should be a ocean where everything was studied to be played with to the owner's choosing like the OG MKIV modders
  13. The Toyota Supra Owner's Club Event featuring Tetsuya Tada & the A90 (photos/videos)

My bad, I forget that you can see right on the left profile where they are based in. Even though English is my first language, half of the stuff I write don't make sense so... Anyways you should enjoy the B48 Supra as a base when it comes over to France! Unless you plan on getting the...
  14. The Toyota Supra Owner's Club Event featuring Tetsuya Tada & the A90 (photos/videos)

The way it was worded suggested this supra owned the B58 where it had me confused. A matter of semantics as I'm aware what you mean now. You said if Toyota have update B58 which left me :hmm:
  15. The Toyota Supra Owner's Club Event featuring Tetsuya Tada & the A90 (photos/videos)

I once again refer you to the magnificent faq GUFF has written and the link I had sent you
  16. Most revealing 2020 Supra prototype spy pics yet, Spotted 3/19/18!

It was more of a joke that the camo is fooling people on dimensions. Very effective work
  17. Most revealing 2020 Supra prototype spy pics yet, Spotted 3/19/18!

Camo is doing their job perfectly is all.
  18. The Toyota Supra Owner's Club Event featuring Tetsuya Tada & the A90 (photos/videos)

Toyota will try to meet emissions and the works with an auto and a manual. Maybe that's why the engine might be 350 HP just to appease these corporations and regulations. It'll be fine stock but man, it can do so much more.
  19. The Toyota Supra Owner's Club Event featuring Tetsuya Tada & the A90 (photos/videos)

My optimistic approach is Tada has a manual option getting hooned and perfected over at Toyota HQ and he is saving that specific model for the reveal in Nov. I doubt it would be sold as a 1:1 with an auto in terms of quantity but a 2:1 would allow the manuals to be sold at a lower amount, less...
  20. The Toyota Supra Owner's Club Event featuring Tetsuya Tada & the A90 (photos/videos)

If Tada had a choice, he would have both, not exclude anything to provide a driver's car to the fullest. We'll see in a few years
