^^^^This^^^^ No reason to buy in-track gas at Barber.
When we did Barber for OneLap a couple of years back, that was the first Buc-ee's I'd ever stopped at. If you've never done the Buc-ee's thing, you gotta go, just for the people watching if nothing else.
I don't think we do, but we do have quite a few threads where several of us have shared alignment specs, myself included.
Front:
Camber: -3deg
Caster: 8deg
Toe: 0
Rear:
Camber: -2deg (well w/in factory adjustment range)
Toe: 1/16" in total
Now with that being said, I have stock springs...
Just expanding on this thought - it's not a "sudden slosh of fuel away from the pickup" that you'd get from an abrupt input, it's an "suspension all loaded up for a long time in a long high-g sweeper" situation most of the time.
Coming in late, but I agree with the commentary here:
- this is 100% toe out. You're dragging the tires sideways and it DESTROYS the insides
- try a different alignment shop, because there should be quite a bit of adjustment in the tie rods.
As for being surprised that the toe changed so much...
In before @razorlab :-D
I think Bryan has quite a few documented failures of SPL parts used in an HPDE/Time Trial setting. I'm an HPDE/Time Trial guy, so I have Verkline stuff sitting in a box for install this summer.
I will go back to the OP and follow up with a "what are you looking to...
Yep, you're faster.
Since you're in Apex(the peak of good living), we probably know some of the same RDU-area track folks. I lived in Raleigh from 94-04, ran with Tarheel Sports Car Club (and Triad some as well) and still have a lot of friends in the area from those days.
I count myself really lucky. I can consistently get down to about 3/8 tank before I get any fuel starvation. That also may mean that I'm just slow, so there's that. ;)
Not direct experience, but AD09s on a heavy ZL1 Camaro - notably slower than a similar car on RE71RS. Decent in rain, decent when hot, but just a step down in performance over the "popular" TW200 tires. Unfortunately, its saddled with Yoko's premium pricing.
Sending Bryan DIRECTLY to the detailing forum.
In all seriousness, I find nothing more effective than Meguiars fine polish for getting OPR (other people's rubber) and other general track gunk off the front of the car. Bug and tar remover does squat, and Goo Gone/Goof Off/Xenit still...
Yep. At anything much less than full tread depth...they're less than optimal.
I've raced Road Atlanta in the rain on Hankooks...they aren't great in the rain either, even at full tread. Now...I was in a car that had very little weight in the back and lots of torque, which might have something...
Since you're in FL, he Hankook will probably be OK at autox - they like heat. However, since the 200TW tires are so good now, just get a set of something really sticky and leave them on the car. Bridgestone RE71RS, Yokohama A052 come to mind. They'll all do double duty for autox and track...
Since you speak of Mustangs...I have a '93 Mustang GT LeMons car, and the factory pedal configuration is abysmal in a Foxbody. I can't come near H&T the car, so I just have to be gentle with the clutch. Since it's a shared car, I can't just hack together pedal covers, or bending pedal bars to...
While not exactly elegant, I know plenty of folks who have simply bolted a block of wood on the pedal to get it closer to them. More elegant options, have someone 3d print a block for you, with some kind of pedal-like surface on top. Another, send something to send cut send, and they'll fab...
I think a pedal box is WAAAAAAY too drastic a solution for the challenges you mention. Integrating a full pedal assembly is a lot of work and tweaking. Pedal stops, pedal covers, etc (which you have experience with) are your droid. I've not driven an MT Supra, but generally BMW is excellent...
Zack, when you say "pedal box", are you talking about an aftermarket pedal assembly, like this one from Wilwood?

Usually, doing pedal box swaps like this go hand-in-hand with going to manual brakes, and I'm...
My OLOA co-driver Blake came over to the house to grab some tires yesterday, and apparently he ran into someone on this forum at Summit Pt last weekend, but didn't catch a name. He name-dropped me (as we all know, TomFree is world-Supra-famous, lol) and the person knew who I was.
As someone who has moneyshifted a motor on track, it bent a valve to the point that it wouldn't retract cleanly - it sounded wrong IMMEDIATELY. It also didn't make it a whole lap before the valve broke off and fully grenaded the motor.
If the Supra ran for a couple of laps, a valve/valves...
