You will need a tune to handle the fuel. The car in this post is actually my personal car. It had an upgraded downpipe, and a drop in air filter with a tune. We sell tunes for all kinds of setups. Feel free to message me if you would like to talk about tuning your car. Here is a link to our...
The Enet cables are not compatible with EcuTek. You will need an EcuTek kit. The bluetooth cable does required a cable connection via USB for actually flashing. It is a combo unit used for flashing, bluetooth based logging with a cell phone, and then down the road with RaceROM features we can...
I would verify with manufatures. But if you are LHD then the USA downpipes should fit. If you are in a country with an OPF then you may want to look into an OPF pipe.
If you want more backfire sound you will need a tune.
It does pretty decent at the boost levels in that log. But it starts getting toasty especially when you over run the stock turbo to try to squeeze more power. The manufactures did give us some room which is nice. But more could be desired when we start leaning on the cars.
Cooking the stock...
Yes this is before the intercooler. And your boost is also before the throttle. Your turbine maps are likely not dialed in all the way as the duty cyc le creeps up on shift. It looks like the tune has the turbine power map shifted up at higher flows to try and get more boost.
It is normal to...
Yeah... no. People probably are assuming the sensor is a mass air flow sensor. In which case to could be. A lot of the errors are from bad boost control and fueling control in the maps putting the ECU into the protected state tables. Bm3 now has a number of tables to help with this. I had them...
EcuTek doesn't do OTS. So you couldn't possibly compare it. And for self tuning it might be worth checking some of my posts in our ecutek thread. The sample roms that tuners use to learn how to tune the supra uses maps that are't eve in BM3. =(
But someone could hack tabkes up to get similiar...
AMS Race pipe. And again that video doesn't really display what it sounds like. Ill try to record some in cabin later if I remember. I have just been swamped. Lots of tuning lately. eep.
I had someone record this, and threw it on the dyno just to get sound under load and I have to say it really doesn't catch the lower frequencies. There is a deep tone you feel in your chest when you down shift. Here is what they recorded though:
The only part that is similar is the idle you can...
Back and forth emailing! Currently we do not offer shelf tunes. We wil have them down the road. but all cars are custom tuned. If people want say a softer throttle map, we will do that. If you want more power than the base, we wil do that. If you want a specific burble pattern, no problem! =) If...
This pricing is right. So for example a stage 2 tune + programming kit would run $1,275.00 currently. If you want a second tune for say ethanol it would be $1,375.00 total.
I have only had 3 people contact me that need an unlocked ecu. Most cars are not locked. This is a new thing BMW has been...
FlashPro is like EcuTek's bluetooth programming kit. If you use the hondata editor thats like ectueks editor. however the files that you save? those are modified, with custom code that hondata added to handle extra cool stuff like launch control. Those custom "files" are "RaceRom". So right now...
