^^Discarding all of the other variables, 9.9mm of valve lift by itself is definitely not a limiting factor until you get into big boy numbers. I've made an easy (as in not pushing the setup beyond 8/10's) 1120WHP with 'only' 9.45mm valve lift.
I just noticed the TPG car was also running no exhaust (assume open downpipe) which is probably worth more in weight vs. power gain. So tune, drag radials, meth, nitrous, and weight reduction of at least passenger seat and exhaust.
It's not totally substantiated AFAIK, but considering it's been mentioned a few times by a few people in different circles it's almost certainly true. I've heard a few vague details that I won't yet share since none of it is corroborated, but nothing about the actual failure or circumstances.
Curious to learn the practical limits of the fuel system as well.
Yes... But, but. but... I was told.... ..1000 horsepower, or more ...at least..
In other news..

Contrary to the pop culture fairy tail that gets mindlessly parroted over and over, the original FnF had zero long term (or even midterm) influence on resale. It certainly thrust the tuner culture, street racing, and Supra, etc.. into the spotlight, but popularity and general public awareness...
My interpretation of his statement is that limitation is present in the v1 base C8 chassis. The C5 and C6 Z06 chassis was entirely new vs. the base counterpart, so that precedence exists. This is purely assumption, but is based on how previous generations evolved. Frankly I find it extremely...
0-60 is a marketing metric these days for the Cars and Coffee crowd and hardly as meaningful as it was a decade or more ago. So many things can influence 0-60 making it about as useful as comparing WHP numbers from different dyno types. That said, almost assuredly the sub 3-sec 0-60 with the...
I think GM will relent on the no manual thing in the future. Word around the camp fire is they are working on some seriously badass stuff behind the scenes, so excited to see this platform develop.
Ownership-wise, I tend stay a generation behind on Corvette (though the C8 could sway that)...
Auto/DCT are equally worthless to me in terms of personal ownership interest. I have my requirements and a manual trans is one of them. I've owned dozens of sports/performance cars over the years and despite 'trying' several automatics, each has only reaffirmed that it's just not my thing ---...
Irrespective of trim, cost, etc.. the absence of a manual trans is and always has been a 100% deal breaker; non-negotiable. For me, that trumps all other considerations, i.e, BMW architecture.
There was some weight reduction as well (at least passenger seat) but agreed the significant increase in trap speed raises a lot of questions. Their 60' was also significantly better than everyone else, so they're definitely on the right path, whatever it is. It's very early and everyone is...
