So far I'm not too excited about the styling. I've never been a fan of the overt retro-throwback look, but will continue to hold out.. That said, a turbo, RWD, manual absolutely has my interest piqued.
I don't know and I don't particularly care whom, 3 decades on, now owns stake to the claim of "fastest stock turbo MKIV". I know what I and friends/acquaintances have personally run, but it's all completely irrelevant to OP's question. Rest easy, though -- I can assure you the ET never has and...
Apples to Moon Pies...
The 3? MKV's in the 9's are all on upgraded turbos and spraying nitrous out of the hole and all of the way down the track. The ability to the load the drivetrain ,spray down a 1.3 60' and just hold the wheel straight does wonders -- isn't technological progression...
On the contrary... 0.2 off of the 0-60 is substantial and will translate to bigger gains down track. Possibly putting a stock car into the 11's in ideal conditions, which is pretty damn impressive. The 6-port head alone will be worth every penny in MSRP, IMO.
Unreal..
I sincerely hope this is a troll account. This air of ignorant entitlement is completely absurd. Next you'll be starting a GoFundMe for your legals fees....
Hard to tell from the pics --- is this new blue metallic or pearlescent? Appears so in some angles, but not others. I personally think the 2-tone wheels would give a more pleasing contrast.
Hard lesson learned for the nuevo-car-guy that paid at or above MSRP for a first MY car expecting it be "collectible" or something. Welcome.... ..to the real world. YoY improvement is pretty standard in the performance car segment.
It's cool because it's new, they were determined to be first, and pulled together all of those extraordinary resources together to make it happen --- and succeeded. Congrats on the accomplishment to all involved. This is purely a testament to Papadakis Racing's ability to successfully plan the...
Helluva a 60' and going 9.9 with only 133MPH is getting it done. My guess is they're spraying it out of the hole and most of the way down the track. Odd that the timeslip doesn't have an 1/8 mile trap speed..
You can't do back to back runs with LC -- I don't recall exact specifics, bu per the manual there is either a time or mileage requirement before you can re-engage it.
They're also 5000LB SUV's which is what makes it impressive, IMO. The fact they were both slightly quicker than the Supra is not germane to my point, but you're sensitive like that...
The easiest way to see if its detonation is to raise the octane and repeat. Race fuel, Torco, Boostane, etc.. At altitude with an aggressive tune that 91 pisswater may not be enough octane to make peak power.
