  1. Official NC Owners Thread

Waxhaw, eh? You may be who I've seen on 200 a few times..
  2. Toyota "Preparing" Hotter Supra GRMN, Says Chief Engineer

That's a distinction without a difference... Still unobtanium either way.
  3. Toyota "Preparing" Hotter Supra GRMN, Says Chief Engineer

Exactly.. 200 units might as well be 2 because none of us mere mortals will ever have the opportunity to own one anyway. Regardless of "MSRP" It will be a who's-who bidding war for a small handful of dealers and they'll be relegated to elite collector circles from here to eternity...
  4. R888R's - Need advice

I've logged 10's of thousands of street miles (and dozens of 1/2 mile passes) on R888/R888R across several different cars. By far the best all-around performance tire for dry grip, handling, etc.. The only tangible downside is the noise; the wider the louder. I had 295/345's on my ZR1 and...
  5. Got a 94' MKIV TT Auto....Super Clean!

Clean car, that's a nice rare find! Good call on the '98 heads/tails; they really 'un-date' the look dramatically. I'd forgot that built A340e idea, though, unless you're just being stubborn and trying to prove some point. There are 100x more cons than pros and you have the priceless...
  6. Octane Boosters

I'd say that's egregiously dramatic.. There's zero evidence it will 'destroy your cats and O2 sensors', aside from the orange tinting. The active ingredient is MMT, which is the same compound found in most unleaded race fuels. I used to get Texaco 100 octane at the pump ("street legal") that...
  7. Octane Boosters

There's a mixing chart on the can, their website, etc.. My personal experience is it works extremely well -- essentially as advertised. My ZR1 went 10.4@ 134 on straight 93 pump and 10.1 @ 138MPH on 93 + Boostane and a more aggressive tune to take advantage of the octane. It's MMT based, so...
  8. Titan Motorsports - First in the 8's

(can't believe this hasn't already been posted) From what I've gathered thus far: Built engine - piston/rod Prototype trans KW coilovers, SPL arms Have not yet seen credible info on turbo, nitrous, etc..
  9. A91 & Recent 2021 Impossible to Tune / ECU manufactured after 2020/6 is locked? [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

With enough demand the aftermarket will always find a way... ..eventually. It took HP Tuners about a year to crack the E99 pcm in the C7 ZR1. C8 is still a WIP.
  10. All-new 2023 Nissan Z makes world debut!

Reducing the "volume", huh? :hmm: If you're just going to copy pasta and conflate marketing wank bullet points that you clearly don't fully grasp, then no point continuing... Come back when you've built/tested/raced a few iterations of both systems, and have some real experience to share.
  11. All-new 2023 Nissan Z makes world debut!

What do you mean by, and how do you gain "improved everyday responsiveness" with an A2W system vs A2A? Edit: Unless you mean heatsoak, in which case I might actually agree.. :dunno:
  12. All-new 2023 Nissan Z makes world debut!

I'd say that's highly debatable. A2A is very simple, much lighter and very effective if implemented correctly. Good piping, couplers/clamps and an efficient well-placed intercooler core is all you need. Very easy for the aftermarket to better solve. A2W is significantly more complex and...
  13. All-new 2023 Nissan Z makes world debut!

I'm not super in love with some of the exterior styling. My assumption is Nissan will listen and react to the feedback accordingly. They specifically mentioned in the reveal it was 'close' but not a final design. I like most everything about the interior. Unless they royally eff things up in...
  14. All-new 2023 Nissan Z makes world debut!

    "GTR brakes"
  15. All-new 2023 Nissan Z makes world debut!

That's cool. :drive: For me, weight and steering feel aren't that big of a concern when doing this:
  16. All-new 2023 Nissan Z makes world debut!

I'm not concerned with the weight. To your point, everything is heavier these days, so it is what it is. I've owned some of the heaviest turbo GT cars and some of the lightest sports cars; weight is only one of a million other factors. I'd also have a real hard time wrapping my head around...
  17. All-new 2023 Nissan Z makes world debut!

Yes! Sign me up! Manual + turbo = sold
  18. 2020 Supra vs 2021 Supra Dyno Results

Static compression on a FI application is only one of hundreds of other variables in the equation. Everything else remaining equal the difference between 11.0 and 10.2 is tangible, but not significant. Either way 10.2:1 is still a fairly high static compression for FI; 8.0 - 8.5 was the norm...
  19. Tuners in the Charlotte area

CES and SOHO are both good shops. If you want a shop that specializes specifically in Supras of all generations then I highly recommend Niced Up Motorsports in Greensboro.
  20. 👣 Official: Toyota Announces Manual Transmission Supra!

Ugh... This somewhat corroborates what I've heard --- only the 2.0 will get the manual (I don't know about the GRMN).
