Just want to provide a counter-point to some of the comments in this thread:
I have the full MST V2 intake, and it was a very easy install. Did it in my driveway in about 90 minutes. Nothing about the OEM intake was especially difficult to remove, and the MST setup is simple to assemble. Just...
Put Tein spring silencers on my RS-R rear springs so the "spring slap" clunking would go away. I bet anyone who has rear clunking w/ lowering springs could solve it the same way.
Start at the top, put the silencers on every other "loop" of the progressive spring section. Four silencers per...
Just installed RS-R superdown springs and also getting rear-end clunk after 3 days of settling. Was short on time and had a trusted shop with BMW/Supra experience do the job so I'm not sure how the struts were lowered from the body. I'm going to double-check the work myself and have already...
I wager that has less to do with the compound, and more to do with their relative skinniness for a higher-performance RWD vehicle. I have another RWD touring car pushing 500 wheel, and the biggest difference I made in traction was in moving from 275 at the rear to 305. I went from breaking...
Mishimoto sells one, but it's stupid expensive. I'm sure you could DIY a solution for much less. The car doesn't care if it has a fancy pre-formed hose or not. ;)
Yes, the CCV puts oil back into the intake without a can.
The B58 doesn't drain oil out of the PCV. Unlike most engines, the B58 has a series of internal baffles activating at various engine loads to keep oil out of the PCV. These baffles condense and collect oil vapor and send it back to the pan at partial and full load.
This makes PCV catch cans...
It's thin. It looks cheap. It doesn't really match the interior. It feels like an afterthought. My $30,000 Genesis Coupe has a better OEM wheel with better controls, better materials, and better ergonomics.
I don't have much to add, except to say that Toyota USA is delivering exactly what's expected: disappointment.
The CF edition is underwhelming. The lack of bug fixes is underwhelming. The refusal to adopt Android Auto is wildly out-of-touch with the smartphone market share mix, not to mention lazy.
@JoeDaMechanic Wow, your videos are so much better and smoother than the promotional videos Bimmertech sent me of the Supra. The lag on their videos was HORRIBLE. The interface was mega choppy and laggy, but yours look pretty good!
