I’m actually more excited about the 4 cylinder, it’s faster or as fast as the A80 stock for stock and the lighter option. Since this won’t match the A80 in total potential the 4 cylinder may be the way to go with this "Supra".
So are you saying that’s what Toyota meant by more of rigid and a more focused sports car than a z4? So the only difference is coupe vs convertible? I’ve been kind of saying that for awhile now but people didn’t like that version lol.
Btw, all of that has weight to it, that’s where the...
Go back a few months and look up the article that talks about the new roof on the z4, the whole thing with the mother was only like 200lbs give or take. On that end Toyota claims they have made the Supra even more rigid than the z4 so the end results won’t be far off. You’ll see.
We’ll be lucky if the Supra is 3,300 pounds. There should only be about 100 pound difference give or take. It’s not as simple as reducing the weight of the roof.
Yes, it’s ugly. We get Toyota, it’s a Toyota and it’s a Supra and it has your logo just in case we forget what it is. It’s like they want to make sure no one ever will confuse it with a BMW.
Bottom line, car makers don’t care about the small % of people who want a stick but they have to be careful how they talk about it. Its a dead issue though if the majority of manufacturers are moving to auto only.
Lol. I can tell.
I wonder, will there be even less activity once they reveal the car? They need to knock this out of the park to keep the excitement going.
I except better from you ;)
The trunk is not latched, you are trying to find things that are not there. The upper glass portion is throwing you off, once the truck is closed properly the glass sits slightly lower. There is nothing there.
Look, the A80 only came in two flavors and I don’t have an issue with that. I don’t think this is going to be a $60k car, if it is Toyota is going to suffer for it. If I was going to spend $60k+ for a car this size I am going straight to Porsche and many others on this forum would be too. Even a...
True and that’s why I learned to live with it but thinking about possibly getting into an A90 with even worse visibility doesn’t sound fun or even an option for me. I guess i’ll Have to see after I test drive it.
You want to see/feel the benefits of having shit rear vision? Lol, ok, to each their own. It’s like saying I want to see the benefit of not having a seatbelt. You can still have what you want out of a car without having to sacrifice safety. Porsche did it, in fact pretty much all other cars do a...
I’m specifically talking about the blind spots, straight rearward visibility is fine, never had any issues with that. You got to admit the blind spots suck though.
Agreed on blind spots, not direct rearward visibility. Just imagine how much worse the A90 will be.
I think I just rather get a Porsche at this point. This car just might be a little too childish for me.
I understand why it is the way it is, I am just saying it’s a bad design. Poor visibility is a result of bad design, not style. While I understand that you are personally ok with the risk involved, i’m Sure the majority might feel differently. Look up some cars in this class and see how much...
