Oh alright. I think that’s just in the sense of installation. I’ve had to re do mine several times now simply because the dust boot didn’t sit properly on the strut mount. But now I’m dealing with the wheel bearings on the strut mount. They keep coming a little out of place so I’m gonna clean...
Damn one of them is brand new ?
They’re not broken or damaged in anyway either. I simply removed the mount and clicked them back into place. They just seem to keep coming undone though
There definitely are. However, after lifting the car AGAIN, I found that the wheel bearings on the strut mount keep on separating a little when I drive even after I popped them back into place every time. I’m not sure why this is happening. I’ve narrowed it down to this being the cause of the...
I’m also on swift springs and I found that mine comes from the bearings on the strut mount. Not really sure why even though I line it up perfectly and test it afterwards. It goes away but then comes back within a few days. Did you ever get yours solved?
Pretty much. Hks are the only adjustable springs that I know of. I’m on swift springs. I’ve had some very subtle clicking noises but that’s from the wheel bearing on the strut mount not being aligned 100% perfect
Update: I took off the wheel and turned the steering wheel and found that the sound was coming from the strut bearing as it turned. It was slightly misaligned, and I say slightly, I mean barely off. As the wheel turned, the bearing would kind of separate by a little and cause the clicking/...
I installed swift springs and I’m also getting very subtle ticking sounds but only sometimes, about 1/7 times and only when I turn the wheel completely to the right. I replaced my entire strut mount since it cracked initially upon replacing my springs and I also replaced the dust boot since mine...
Got an alignment the other day as well and heard no issues. However, driving it today, I got the sound again. It’s nowhere near as loud as it was and I only hear it about 2/10 times when I turn the wheel all the way to the right. It sounds like plastic rubbing on something but still not sure...
Yea turns out mine was from the dust boot. I disassembled the whole thing and found that upon reinstallation, the dust boot somehow got misaligned from the strut mount which left the actual spring making a little contact with the strut mount. The dust boot was pretty warped after this and it...
I’ve just installed swift springs, Motorsport hardware spacers and also their studs. I also had to realign the spring because it wasn’t fitting properly into the strut mount after initially installing them. I now hear a noise kinda like clicking but not sure what it is. I still need to get an...
Installed swift lowering springs along with stud conversion kit from Motorsport hardware and their 12.5 and 15mm spacers. Thank you @Meraki Autoworks for the springs. Fantastic service!
Has anyone w swift springs experienced any clunking sounds? I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about this with other springs. I have swift springs but yet to install them
I wish :( unfortunately the corners of the spoiler is ever so slightly off of the trunk lid so it doesn’t make any contact. And also, the spoiler doesn’t require any drilling. 3m on the parts that made contact was more than enough to keep it on 150+ mph hahah
