Surely not for an unlock. I provide ECUs to their team and I can assure you half that cost or more goes to the ECU.

It’s a complicated problem and Toyota put me through a surprisingly significant amount of work and time for what seemed a simple engine replacement.

Well if you keep pushing the dealership they will opt to try and replace the pistons and rings. When they did this on my 21’ the engine blew after 150 miles. I’m now on a six month wait list for a new long block.

Now I’m just trolling… can I get a gooch vent like on the mk4 Supra? ?

I'm pretty surprised no one mentioned the traction issues in the Supra. It does hook well enough, but if you get sideways there isn't a ton of steering angle to save you, and the rear end comes out quick. Stock tire setups and alignment is not that great. Most guys go wider tires immedietly...

You should find a new dealer to work with. I just had my 21' engine rebuilt because of excessive consumption. New pistons and rings.

Is this valved? Can’t really tell based on the marketing.

Dealership called me back today to tell me my Supra is running again! I’m going to pick it up today! what an incredible turnaround time for an engine rebuilt in such short time. Will report the oil burn after I give this new set of piston rings the break in of a lifetime.

I can't blame them. Sending your OE ECU across the pond is scary. I'm sure you havent forgot your personal experiences with that.

I wish they had gone this way instead of the resellers strategy. That just allowed John to take in huge margin and monopolize the process.
