I was on ft86club since early 2010 after they introduced FT-86 concept at Tokyo. I never get to buy one because it didn't meet my expectation "No turbo, obviously". Some of the early members were in focus group for 86 in California, and first question was "Would you buy one if it was a Scion?"...

Supra MK4 TT was made to compete with Nissan 300ZX TT, it was so good, it went to compete directly with Skyline GT-R R34 and 911. All of them are called Supercar killers. Anyone think 911, GT-R, and Supra are supercars, they don't know the background of those cars.

Something like Volvo electric motor driven turbo would be awesome. That would give instant boost.

I'm a fan of rowing my own gear, but I personally think at ~400hp, satisfaction of rowing your own gear is at its diminishing returns. BMW makes a really good DCT, why not modify theirs since Toyota already works with them on Supra project?
