  1. Wish List for the new Supra / Must Have Futures and Options!

Guys, I'm talking about the rumored Q60 twin turbo 3.0 engine output 400+hp in the new Z "probably Z nismo", not the current half baked Z. Supra Mk4 back in the day was made to compete with 300ZX, it was too good, it went to compete with 911 and R34 instead. Toyota can make another Supra that...
  2. Wish List for the new Supra / Must Have Futures and Options!

Another good alternative is the make a base Supra go after the new Z. There is a rumor Q60 engine will make it into the new Z, 400+hp. High performance variant should wipe the floor with high end Sportscars.

  4. Article - Akio Toyoda's Sports Car (and FT-1 Supra) Problem

GT-R R35 is the only one doing exceptionally well. The reason is, it gets upgrade every year. I think Nissan "gets it". A sportscar needs upgrade every year or every other year to keep it from being forgettable by media and potential buyers alike. When GT-R is in every performance car of the...
  5. Wish List for the new Supra / Must Have Futures and Options!

Yup, a base 450hp for an average Joe like me.
  6. MKV Toyota Supra Dimensions / Specs leaked in Best Car Magazine

Lexus GS350 adopted rear steer, and got praised for driving smaller than it's actually is. If a mid-size sedan can have a rear steer, I don't see why a flagship coupe can't.
  7. Reviving the Supra - does Toyota really benefit?

    Something like this rendering. :D
  8. Reviving the Supra - does Toyota really benefit?

Or Bring Thunderbird, a more refined Shelby Mustang, to Lincoln brand. :D Just a wishful thinking.
  9. News: BMW FT1 Supra Project Moves Into Concept Stage

Reskin RC-F Seat would be nice. That seat looks good and comfy as hell.
  10. Interviews with Chief Engineer Tetsuya Tada

I hope we're getting the next teaser/concept soon. Fingers crossed.
  11. The MKIV vs MKV Thread

That's why there is a rumor IS-F and Supra will share V6 TT. I hope it's true than Toyota sourcing engine from BMW.
  12. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

Track duty, yes. That FR-S you talked about though, it probably was misused that it engine could explode in a normal usage. I'm still surprised why Toyota can easily replace an engine in a car, unless it's their engine design flaw and they tried to cover it. P.S. I rev match on my daily basis. LOL
  13. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

Well, like you, I ride as well, so I take it as sarcastic response. I'm just pointing out it's easier for a driver to make mistake.
  14. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

Motorcycles have tq/power peak up there over 10K rpm, and shifting is sequential. Hardly anyone would mess up shifting.
  15. The Engine Speculation Thread

NA V8 is still alive and well in American Muscle. Blame EPA for mass adoption of turbo engine.
  16. The Engine Speculation Thread

Toyota made turbo, and they were the best in business. I imagine Honda Turbo engine in NSX is going to be rock solid as well.
  17. News: BMW FT1 Supra Project Moves Into Concept Stage

Well I didn't see you mention about engine, so I took it you only meant the chassis. I don't see any carmaker putting a production engine on a fancy looking concept car. BMW may put real engine in its production-like concept cars, but that's the one of a few makers I remember have concepts look...
  18. News: BMW FT1 Supra Project Moves Into Concept Stage

FR-S Concept was on production version chasis.
  19. Mitsubishi's "Evolution" name to live on?

http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1027537_mitsubishi-teases-new-crossover-concept-for-2015-geneva-motor-show Looking at the teasers, it’s clear the new concept is an evolution of the XR-PHEV concept that we first saw at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. Like the XR-PHEV, the new concept for...
  20. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

Couldn't have said it better. My 270hp WRX is already getting close to diminishing returns. I drove E92 M3, I would say, right around that power is the limit of manual shifting. One can definitely have 600hp stick car, but it's not fun anymore. Want real fun manual car, Miata and 86 twins are...
