Washed it after taking it to a new track.
Then got some new ? slapped on that I’ve been wanting to try. Thinking about keeping the A052s as back ups or maybe sell.
Track wheels put back on, alignment, new tie rods (again ?), SPL tie rod ends, & changed the oil.
Also, booked my 1st track day of the year at a new track. Hoping I can get 4 sessions out of these A052’s (currently has 8 heat cycles) cause the day is 8 sessions total which I won’t do. Maybe...
Yeah ?.
The 2 front kickers (bars) that attach to the main hoop use the existing 4 bolt holes on each side and actually hold the main hoop by themselves.
Structurally it may not be ideal, but figured if I ever get more serious about racing I’d go the weld-in route.
Appreciate it. Yeah I’m definitely sitting higher than I’d like which is likely due to the slider rails. But it’s a trade off I’m willing to deal with so I can have the adjustability.
Had to move the seat down 1 setting for the front and rear cause the top of my helmet was rubbing on the roof...
This would be somewhat my thought process as well. Looks like I’m a just get the clutch & flywheel when I decide to upgrade.
Sorry for the loss you had to take, but glad you can inform current and future MT owners. Hope you get your car running again soon.
Removed a seat rail bolt to verify its size to install my new seat. Can’t get this Recaro podium slider to stay in place without applying pressure to the center actuator. Once pressed down (lifted up) it just pops out?.
Decided to slap back on the street setup.
Also, similar to Big Willow shaved 7 sec off my lap time at Chuck. Hit my goal over the weekend, but tried to sub 2. Maybe next time.
Interesting, but I 100% agree with you.
Currently I’m on HKS HAS w/ OEM struts which I left at factory height. So the drop was minimal.
Maybe I’ll just get some spl end links for now, but thought there was no clearance issues running just the Verus camber plates.
Again, appreciate the insight...
So when I was under the car with him, he pointed out the front passenger tie rod may be hitting. When I asked if it's preventing him from making the proper alignment he said yes.
The tie rods and endlinks are not touching, but maybe under full lock it could be hitting.
Installed the Verus camber plates, track wheel setup (VS-5RS on A052 295/35), and wheel alignment check.
Got the -3 camber upfront I was aiming for, but was recommended front endlinks and tie rods. Is that necessary?
Have 2 track days coming up in November, so trying to get the car dialed in...
