While your steeing wheel is off, I HIGHLY recommend upgrading your shift paddles. I went with the Golden Wrench aluminum ones. The longer paddles make it easier to grab gears. And I prefer the metallic feel in your hand, feels a lot more premium.

Maybe the BMW dealers are hip to coding. But for the most part, if you're coding you're just enabling options that are already baked into the software. If you do something experimental and brick that car, then yeah, I can see that voiding the warranty.

Just get a really good deal on a new one if you can. Where you beat the first year depreciation. That way you can still enjoy the car and later on, trade up for a newer one if they add those features. But waiting for something that might never happen is just wasting your few healthy years on...

A targa top is something I wished this car had. Its the only thing I envy on the C8. But wow, if they made a Supra targa, I'd have to trade my current one for it. I'd get murdered by the trade value and price delta, and probably my wife too.
