Drove a 1:31.3 on my first trip to Road Atlanta to secure the class win on the final session of the weekend after having a first session PB of 1:44.7
@JackieD86 dominated the Street class with a 1:25.8 ?
I did the high downforce splitter, hood vent, arch vents, and fenders all at once, so I’ve got no idea.
I suspect it doesn’t make much of a difference. I’d wait for Verus to release their fenders with actual data.
You really don’t want to run the Verus wing past about 12 degrees anyway or...
Nice. I’ve got the same fenders and did not install any mesh over that opening, which was probably a mistake.
Although the fenders are holding up okay, I’ve got a tremendous amount of rubber and junk built up in the cavity on the inside of the fender (between the sayber fender and the body of...
They are sayber fender/hood vents above the wheels.
They are flimsy junk. When the engine bay gets hot they crack and lose what little structural rigidity they had.
I would sell them to someone that street drives their car and not put them on a track car at all.
The rivnuts held well enough to destroy the splitter blade and tear the crash bar in half, as seen in the pic.
There isn’t really any way to reinforce things in the sense that ultimately something has to give.
I am running the lower crash bar to upper crash reinforcement from Verus now though...
For the record, the splitter attaches to an aluminum crash bar that weights about 1lb. It not that strong and it will bend, and the splitter does brake as well.
The crash bar is only a couple hundred $ to replace, the splitter of course is more expensive.
Spoilers and wings may seem similar but are actually quite different in design and function.
A spoiler disrupts airflow specifically to reduce lift.
Typically air only flows over the top of a spoiler and it does not have any particular airfoil. It usually prevents air from flowing quickly over...
This is going to sound really good. Nice choice of components and electronics. Have also run all the same gear or heard it in a bunch of sq competitor cars.
2 10” utopia subs would really get down if you want to retain some trunk space (lol), but those illusion/raven subs are super nice. Or you...
Could be a rear toe issue.
If you do .15 to .2 rear toe on each side (each side needs to be the same - some shops just looks at total) that will help.
And go back to oem ride height. The lowering springs are messing with your geometry and most likely making the car more sensitive to ride...
