LOL... Yeah, so much for the "we're only releasing one SKU this time... so inventories will be much better"...and it's gone.
I guess the upside is that 3090's are going for a song now... at least compared to 2 months ago.
Glad everyone is OK after the accident, but man... it's...
Most of Toyota's "great reliability" seems to come from their most stripped down models and doesn't translate as well upstream. In my family, we've had Corolla's do >300K miles with little fanfare and our 2007 4Runner is near perfect condition still. On the other side, I had my RC-F in for...
Normally don't watch Throttle House videos, but I found this exchange pretty funny (~7:19 at end):
James: "But the Nissan Z is quite a bit cheaper than this..."
Thomas: "Yeah, for a good reason... it's worse."
James: "Yes. Yes it is. Only in every measurable way." ?
You club appeals to me and I'm interested in subscribing to your newsletter. It seems like the perfect platform in the current political climate to encapsulate everything that's truly "American" these days.
Toyota reliability is usually found by taking a platform and "de-tuning" it to <60% of it's potential. If the MKV was as much of an absolute dog that my RC-F was... then I'd be tempted to expect great reliability as well. However, it's much, much better than that dumpster fire was, so I'm cool...
I just can't get over how cringe the local news coverage is to actually listen to the facts. What really roasts my coffee beans is that the "solution" to these street races will be to give me a ticket for driving ~85 on the freeway, in nice weather, at 2am - with no one else around. :rolleyes...
YES.
NO.
YES (unless it's a Honda)
YES (but wait... is the Cygnet really an Aston Martin at all?)
NO(ish) - but this one definitely is. And by similar logic... this Golf is a Lamborghini.
I've left an apple on your desk and I'm hoping for an A on this test.
Sure... it's just the tires... Not saying they don't suck... but still.
If one of these YT idiots wanted to develop some slightly more compelling content, they'd do the same thing while putting Potenza's on a MKV and PSS on the Z... and I'm guessing it'd only be a slightly closer race.
I've heard it... but never while driving. Should be pretty rare to have a need to purge during operation - but it's possible it's happened and just not been audible inside the car.
As far as in the garage... yep, heard it on every car I've owned in the past 15 years at least. It nearly...
It will help... but - there is just "a lot of sound lacking" no matter what you do. ;)
On the one hand, driving in traffic on the freeway makes me extremely dissatisfied with the sound - even with several mods. On the other hand, with the engine above 5K on some twisty mountain roads...
That's how I read it. Essentially, if there weren't enough people buying autos... Toyota would have never bothered completing development of the manual implementation?
One thing to check is whether or not the "surround" option is selected. Personally I think it sucks... but IIRC when I unchecked that option the rears were much more muted. This was before I moved the fader 100% to the front. So it might be unchecked in your case as well.
Wait a minute... do you mean to say that a 6/20+ ECU will have to go to Russia and will require two ECUs?!?! I had no idea. You should have mentioned this before. :p You should probably post that somewhere.
This (even if you're not single, just hate cooking). Also depending on how late your schedule is, it's often the only option - although I have finally found a grocery store that's 24/7 so now there are a few more options.
I pretty much always get a comment from someone working drive-thru, gas...
You know, this thread has made me nostalgic... I remember before release that everyone was talking about how if Toyota had produced everything (whether a "new" I6 or just a turbo V6 or NA V8 from existing options) the car would have wound up costing well over $100K and no one would buy it.
Fast...
Doubtful with the way things are looking, but I might hit BBQ & awards since BC is only 10 minutes away and I can stop by and visit my Mom while I'm out there. Something always winds up happening on SIV weekend for me - usually work, sometimes a pandemic.
While your logic is impeccable... I'd honestly expect that regardless - since it's basically saying "Did you do something? Anything? OK then, that is why it's your fault, not ours."
If they sourced the ECU then it's a clear case of selling an already defective product.
Despite liking both cars - it has much more to do with what you blew the other half of the money on... Of course, I'm in the minority being someone who's much more interested in the Cayman and would only want a 911 if it was from the decade I was born in.
