Toyota reliability is usually found by taking a platform and "de-tuning" it to <60% of it's potential. If the MKV was as much of an absolute dog that my RC-F was... then I'd be tempted to expect great reliability as well. However, it's much, much better than that dumpster fire was, so I'm cool...

It will help... but - there is just "a lot of sound lacking" no matter what you do. ;) On the one hand, driving in traffic on the freeway makes me extremely dissatisfied with the sound - even with several mods. On the other hand, with the engine above 5K on some twisty mountain roads...

One thing to check is whether or not the "surround" option is selected. Personally I think it sucks... but IIRC when I unchecked that option the rears were much more muted. This was before I moved the fader 100% to the front. So it might be unchecked in your case as well.

While your logic is impeccable... I'd honestly expect that regardless - since it's basically saying "Did you do something? Anything? OK then, that is why it's your fault, not ours." :rolleyes: If they sourced the ECU then it's a clear case of selling an already defective product.
