Yeah, I've driven over the landscaping on more than one occasion just backing out of the garage.
Granted, with the horrible alignment on many and with dealerships not removing spacers on others - some MY20's were kinda ridiculous... but also cheap to fix by just doing what Toyota should have...
Or even better... since I think the throttle mapping can be tuned as well (not much you can do with the rest without physically swapping parts). Maybe I'm wrong on that, but at the very least the tune should make the existing sport map less twitchy compared to stock.
Edit - yep, although some...
Honestly, that's a decent price... a bit cheaper than rolling your own that's for sure. ;)
Between ECUs and converters... I should have gotten into the salvage business a few years ago.
Are you referring to that super-sketchy trainwreck called 'USD'? I've been trying to get out of that for years but haven't been having much luck. :p Granted, it's not a complete fabrication like FTX was... but damn - the upper management is definitely a bunch of crooks and scam artists...
Shear strength of the bolts is really all that matters (assuming they're the correct length and torqued to specs). No real difference between the two otherwise... and in that case wheels alone have the same potential for failure.
The reason I prefer wheels with the offset I want already is a...
The robot that was supposed to tighten it got Covid that day? Lots of things can happen on an assembly line - even mostly automated ones. Probably tightened it just enough to not have problems until vibrations eventually worked it loose.
The most likely scenario involves them driving an Altima... however, many people join the salvage thread by "just holding the wheel straight and mashing the pedal" - on bone-stock Supras.
Of course, I'm sure that Altima is an absolute beast on the track... so I should sit down now. ?
And when you consider that Samsung bought Harman... they own a really big chunk of both the pro and consumer audio markets. Bowers & Wilkins is a Sound United brand however - they're the other mega-conglomerate in CE audio gear.
Harman Intl. have been pioneers in blind testing products for...
Should be noted that they also did so on a 2020 - so on a 2022 you would potentially have similar issues with locked ECU as you do for performance tuning I think. I wonder if you still have to send your ECU to Femto/Russia/Finland... @zrk any idea on this? ???
Also in comfort mode it will stay closed even if the car is warmed up - normal and expected. However, if (as @J29DB03 indicated) you're in Sport mode, and the car is warmed up and you still have a closed valve... it's possible it's stuck or the fuse is blown?
And based on how most of my online purchases take a scenic tour of the whole country before arriving at my doorstep... they need to pay them even better. Either that or fire them completely... if they're the ones handling those logistics.
LOL... we haven't seen anything yet IMO. Another 2-3 quarters will make this look like a boom market. "Winter is coming..." - is likely to be a meme for more than just Game of Thrones fans for many years I think. ;)
I daily mine, often in traffic... even if it was 5K less to trade - the numbers still wouldn't make sense.
Might get a second one in MT however... after the economy crashes.
Yeah, the reminder (warning) is set by time not mileage. Had 36K when mine went off. Got it done with an oil change at local independent BMW shop for just slightly more than the oil change. I can't remember exactly but I think it was either $150 or $175 for the brake fluid change.
Scary...
I'm pretty sure most people in this thread aren't calling it expensive - rather the other way around. Also no doubt on them selling out - it's always a question of being able to get one. I'd still personally rather have a Cayman GT4 (since I'd just daily it regardless) - but if I was racing...
Yeah, it kinda does, apparently. Also as a former architectural engineering major and a current hobbyist carpenter - building is way harder than design and CAD work IMO.
I think the debate there would be in quantity of IP involved. Based on the origin of all parts involved - it's safe to say...
