I have the JB4 and I went ahead and ordered the flex fuel kit from BMS. I'd much rather just check the JB4 gauge and know the exact number. How are the e30/50 maps working for you on the JB4? Can you feel the difference over map 3?
Was looking for one and all the dealerships still had markups and thought they were sitting on gold. I thank them for sending me to get an A91 instead. I wouldn't spend a penny over sticker on a Civic as a matter of principal.
I've only ever done it while braking (once actually), but from what others are saying it looks like anytime you hold down the lever or paddle, it will downshift to the lowest possible gear...
I think we're misunderstanding each other.?. Next time you drive the car, get up to 60mph and aggressively brake.while braking hold down the paddle.it will shift from 8th to 3rd gear instantly. I guess I will find out if continuing to hold the paddle down will result in a shift down to 2nd and...
Some cars auto downshift at the highest possible mph for the next lowest gear if you hold down the paddles. It appears our cars do it at least once. I wanted to know if it continues downshifting if you hold down the paddles while decelerating, similar to some other cars, or if it only...
I am still "breaking in" my A91, but I tried the technique mention in the thread title once and it downshifted immediately from 8th to 3rd gear in manual sport mode. Has anyone tried it while braking hard all the way to a stop? If so, does it downshift down to first as speed is scrubbed off...
My budget was basically open to any mid-tier sports car up to a loaded 992 Carrera C4S, and even a low mileage C7Z wasn't on my radar because of how inferior it was in virtually any metric other than speed. Already bought a loaded Gen 5 Viper over the C7Z just due to the cooling issues they had...
I run boostane on my blown s2000, 12 gallons of 93 and one can of boostane should equal about 103 octane. My s2k only takes 12 gallons so its perfectly mixed every fill up. Got a noticeable amount of extra timing out of my tune and switched to a 20psi pulley, and its safe.
Definitely not a dual exhaust with the single turbo and one bank of cylinders. Other VA-based a91 owners, we need to schedule a meet once Covid is over.
Don't they benchmark these motors? Even if not, I'd avoid launching before the break in period ends. Differentials don't take kindly to being abused early (I broke 3 diffs on my Viper that way, and those can hold 2500whp).
I spent my entire 5 hours return drive trying to figure out how to turn on the HUD... A91 edition doesn't come with one. Pretty silly, but since there's no rev counter, it's basically useless anyways. My JB4 Arrives today, and my downpipe and intake tomorrow. Realized from watching a DP...
I've owned a handful of cars with keyless entry. This is the first one that appears to not have a working lock button on the door handle? It auto-unlocks, but what was clearly an insert for a lock button doesn't do anything. Is this a Supra thing or another missing A91 feature?
Thanks!
Just got my A91 edition so I'm sorry for bumping this. Once I get my garage sorted, my Supra will join two 2004 S2000s; one is supercharged, both are around 11,000 combined miles.
