Also, it happened immediately after changing to map5 on the JB4 and running e40. With Map3 it did it less, and with unmixed 93 octane it has almost completely stopped...
This started happening to me when I ran e85 mix and JB4 on high boost. Huge clouds though. Doesn't seem to happen to all the higher power stock turbo tunes though... Any recent info on this theory?
Did anyone get any results or determine the cause? Just went catless downpipe and tested a splash of e85 (should be about an e40 mix) and JB4 on map 5... Buddy thought the car was on fire at the first light I reached after the first pull on that map. Smoke everywhere. Kept smoking every time I...
I wonder if Map 5 would benefit more from a catless downpipe... Stock exhaust looks like a terrible design too, it's crushed in places and has terrible bends and shape changes. Maybe those are starting to choke performance a bit?
I just installed the new Titan motorsports titanium exhaust, and after four hours and some fitment jerry rigging it appear to be good.
The only problem now is that the exhaust flap lines up with the actuator (in closed position) with the flap about 20% open. There is no more adjustment I can...
They couldn't give away the NSX or S2000's towards the end of life. Lack of sales now isn't at all an indicator of future value (unless we're talking about serious garbage like the Acura ZDX or whatever that crossover was called).
For instance, the Focus RS is for sure going to shoot up in...
JB4 has a mode in the WMI section of the app that will auto-delete CEL's basically appearing to you that it never shows up. This option is locked out in US (I'm assuming for legal reasons), but if you use a VPN on your phone, change to another country, go into JB4 dev options and detect...
Well they aren't the same though, one is black and one is red. I got the red one at 3400 miles, and saw a black 2004 at 5000 miles for a good price so I got it too... The black one will stay stock and the red one is actually faster than my Supra on JB4 map 3.
That's crazy how such a complex system doesn't use anti-theft codes and those kinds of countermeasures, but a Pontiac from the late 90's will. Thanks for the info, I was worried it would turn into a crisis.
Going to be trying this then. Already gives me the option after changing to another country (BR) but I don't think it can save unless it's connected, which I'll try tomorrow. Apparently the passive delete code option is disabled only in the US and maybe a few other countries...
I have a catless DP ready to go in once my exhaust goes in. It came with a defouler and miniature cat pipe that sits in front of the sensor. I am hoping that solves any potential CEL. I will let you know...
Damn I can't wait then! You should check out the flex fuel kit on BMS' site. Install looks as easy as installing the JB4. And it integrates into it. You doing a downpipe soon?
