Lotus Emira or a Cayman GT4 will replace my MKV in about a year. A Model 3 will be an addition for practicality unless I start dating someone with a sedan/SUV lol.
I've only brought my car into the dealership twice after owning it for a year; once because the clear bra on the bumper wasn't seated correctly, the second time was today for the recall. I also asked for a loaner since it took 2 and a half hours and they weren't offering them anymore. To be...
Just got the car back. As expected the tune is gone, my driver profile is still present but the clock needs to be reset oddly enough. Sent BM3 the updated information to see if I'll need a bench unlock before reinstalling my flash. Forgot how sluggish these things are with stock power. Steering...

At the dealership now, was informed the recall could take up to 3 hours. I'm most likely going to just wait. No loaner is provided, mainly because they have like 15 vehicles saleable in their inventory lol.
They also only have one person authorized to work on the MKV's.
Going to get my recall done tomorrow morning on my 2020 with a BM3 tune. Will update in the afternoon. Not many MKV's in my immediate area so it may take a couple hours, hopefully they provide a loaner vehicle.
Contacted BM3 regarding the flash. They implied the latest software flash may lock out the tune, in which case a bench unlock would be required. They gave no indication that it will prevent future flashing since it'll be the same ECU, just with different software.
This puts my mind at ease, I...
You get about 7whp with a drop in if you're tuned. I just reinstalled my K&N filter, car definitely feels peppier. I may switch to the afe oil filter since I've seen the quality is a bit better than k&n.
