My chassis malfunction notification came on during the cool down lap of my last session yesterday, has that happened to you? It hasn't come on again but I found that odd. I was wondering if I clipped my ride height sensor cause session 4 was pretty damn aggressive and my car is lowered.
Took her to her first but definitely not last track day. I may just turn my MKV into a dedicated track car cause these things are so well balanced; keeping it on the street is a waste.
Going to invest in some handling mods like sway bars and definitely wider tires, brake pads are a must as well.
I've heard a 285 is too narrow, especially for a E50 tune. I had a stage 2 ots map on my stock 275's and it wasn't fun. I'd recommend going with at least a 295 rear. I'll be upgrading to the 4s's my self.
I have a catless dp with a resonated touring AWE system, imo it sounds perfect. It is a bit loud at initial startup but I have/had cat heating disabled so it wouldn't piss off my neighbors. Very docile in comfort mode. Has a very exotic and smooth tone which I love. I always get compliments from...
I predict the 2020's will hold their value more than the 2021's+ due to the oil consumption issues and the fact that they aren't tuneable. Only time will tell.
I got the recall done a couple weeks ago and as expected I lost my BM3 tune and my DME is now locked with the new software. My DME was tuneable before so all I need is a bench unlock (already verified by Protuning freaks). I noticed some companies actually downgrade the DME to a previous version...
Are they going to allow you on a track without the recall being done? NASA sent me an email a few weeks ago saying I would need to awknowledge that the recall will or has already been performed prior to my track day.
Nothing mechanically wrong with my vehicle, I however just noticed some minor damage to the drivers side side skirt I assume was some caused by the tech getting in/out and having the heel of their boot rub against it. Make sure you guys walk around your vehicle with the advisor before and after...
I'd recommend everyone let their service advisors know to inform the techs to put the vehicle on a battery tender when doing the update. Not having enough voltage during the update is most likely what's bricking everyone's ECU. Mine took 2 and a half hours to perform.
