I'll throw another one into the mix then if your after a lighter car, how about the Alpine 110 Turbo GT only a year old, less than 50k, 300ps, lightweight, great car reviews, 2 seats and good for the track too.
No new Supras being sold in the Uk since last year, but 3.0 models on 2023 plates are going for around 45k. Similar aged Jaguar F types v8 supercharged are now dropping below the 50k barrier which offer a lot bang for bucks too I would say.
An Aston Martin Vantage V8 2018 onwards model would be my dream car, Some have dropped to below 70k, I just dont think I could afford or justify the costly maintainence. So in reality probably another mx5 which was amazing too, small light and sprightly too plus somewhat cheaper to maintain.
Thats an old thread of mine, ended up selling that Supra, not got a Manula special edition with the all important unkerbed alloys, much prefer the new style to the old ones
Just out of interest (and the fact I have a GR Special edition) I wanted to see what is the rarest Supra GR (edited) edition models registered on the road or SORNed in the UK. Theres a web site called Still on the road where you can get exactly these stats
Jarama edition had a limited run of 30...
Just collected my car from Topaz, now PPFed and cermaic coated, so hopefully protected for a long time. PPF warranty is 10 years and 5 years for the ceramic coating.
Some of the cars they were working on I did nt even recognise - a Rimac Nevera and a McClaren Senna which had the biggest back...
Have now collected my Special edition MT wrapped up in PPF from Topaz front and sides who done a really good job. I have been offered a deal on the GTechniq Crystal Serum Ultra + EXOv5 coating for ÂŁ360 or is it worth looking at cheaper alternatives, having just forked out 2k plus for PPF
I also...
Thanks, Ive not really really used mine yet aside from driving home from collecting it and then dropping it off for its PPF. Its back next week tho all wrapped up! Enjoy your 911 too.
Ouch, did you not fancy putting it up on Autotrader ? It always pees me off when they give you a lo ball offer then stick it up for a whole lot more in this case 8k more without adding any value to it..
I remember once i traded in a Nissan 200sx at an Audi dealership for 7.5k when i was...
I think the "best" PPF installers is very subjective, there are clearly ones that are very good at what they do and others that are so so. Thre is no reason why several PPF installation busiensses can not be in the top tier, its does nt have to be like top trumps ;)
The cars I saw at Topaz were...
Good tips, I decided to take it to Topaz who seem excellent. They have a 1mm tolerance on fitting PPF so if they cant wrap it around an edge, its no more than 1mm from the edge so no unsightly gaps. They also use their own film which is an "improved variant" of xpel and their own templates.
I...
Ollie, what happened to the bumper then ? If you dont mind how much is it to get the roof done? did you get the A pillars done too? Its like a whole new area of interest has sprung up for me ?
Booked it in for next Monday, whole front plus Sills and rear arches etc, and they are fitting the ZL1 rock guards as well. They provided lots of detail which was good and they asked who recommended them, so i gave your name, who knows you might get a discoount next time you visit!
Thanks Ollie, I gave them a call and they are similar to Project-R in price, a bit nearer to me tho a few differences in that they use their own film, which is a customised Xpel and own templates. Their medium package covers the complete front and side sills, did you go for this tho it does nt...
