It depends on the brand. It will smell more than stock but not nearly as much as catless. Active Autowerke produces the slightest smell, I don't even notice it, but then again, im used to catless

Im not familiar with O2 spacers, unfortunately. I use the active autowerke catted downpipe on my car; no smell, no check engine light, and sounds better, in my opinion.
