Sounds like the time has passed (not mileage) and the computer has determined the car is due for an oil change. A standard manufacture computer service default. This is not an oil consumption issue for the particular error code.
Unfortunately after washing your car the rotors generate a surface rust (brown-ish red).
I find it best to drive the car down the street after washing to remove the surface rust off the rotors… then re-wipe the wheels off with a quick detailer type product.

And I agree the gloss black piece blends much better than a carbon fiber piece against the other gloss black. I’ll go the $60 route.
I tried the cheap door edge molding route at first (helped but didn’t eliminate the noise entirely).
I then when this route for $63. An oem appearance, high quality, clean looking and a perfect fit. Wind buffeting gone. This is the way it should have come from the factory.

If anyone on the forum is truly interested, I’d be more than happy to look the car over throughly and use a paint gauge on it. I’m very particular so this could be valuable to a potential buyer. I only live about 10 miles away. Appears to be a garage trophy and a local trade in.
