I know the style, but they never stuck out like that from what I remember, they looked more like this:
When I look at this one all I see is this:
luckily tip length is something that should be super easy to change.
This isn't correct at all. Gear ratios are constant, which means if it was at 7k RPM at 250 kph in 8th then it would be at 2.8k RPM at 100 kph, which is very far off (that might be the ratio for 6th, definitely not 8th). The Supra is almost certainly drag-limited above 250 kph (I'm not sure at...
No worries, it was surprising to me since ethanol has a much lower stoich than gas and has a lower energy density to boot. I did install a downpipe and go to stage 2 at the same time as switching to E50, so that probably plays a part as well.
That makes sense if you plan to run JB4 forever, but if you plan to switch to something else when the ECU is unlocked wouldn’t you want a kit that will work correctly with other tuning options so you don’t have to swap it out later? You can put a gauge on the Visconti kit as well to use in the...
The post-June 2020 change is a physical change to the ECU. ECUs manufactured before that date cannot be hardware locked like the ones after. So unless the dealership is physically swapping out ECUs, it shouldn’t be an issue.
That said, I haven’t seen anyone yet who has got the recall done and...
Yes you do
See this post I made earlier today for more info:

Correct. There are 3 levels of "locking" from the factory:
1) Nothing at all, it's completely open and you can flash it all you like. This describes the first half of the 2020s. Note that having the ECU reflashed by the dealership (including this recall) will move you to #2.
2) Soft lock...
It definitely takes some wrestling, but like zrk said, start one of the screws on the corner, and then use that as a pivot point/hinge while working your way around the perimeter.
There are plenty of remote Ecutek tuners, it’s a bit more expensive than the bm3 I believe but definitely a solid option. Marin, Visconti, Botti, etc.
You can pull a few screws from the bottom of the rear diffuser and then you’ll have access to the back side of the reflectors. They’re held in with clips, I think 3 each. With access to the back you can use a screwdriver to pop the clip closest to the center of the car. From there you can...
I have mine in sport mode 100% of the time, and manual 95% of the time. It’s easy to take it easy on warmup with it in manual mode whether or not you’re in sport.
Would they? Seems like an easy lawsuit to me, unless the engine died because the oil pan was cracked or something.
There's no such thing as "voiding a warranty", the dealership can only deny individual warranty claims when they can reasonably blame the failure on something the owner did to the...
