Lmao, I had no idea. I just watched a tear down of a VR30DDTT and you’re right, it’s not even semi-closed, that bitch is wide open. I wouldn’t feel comfortable making any more than 500whp on that block, what was Nissan thinking?
Nope, none of that near me. The most expensive MKV within a few hundred miles is a hair over 56k. That’s all moot though, you can’t use the jacked up prices in the middle of a supply crunch the likes of which the world has never seen before for one car, and MSRP for the other. Since the Z...
Where do you keep getting $60k? I've never seen a MKV listed for that. Fully decked out premiums are $56k tops, when I got mine they were all going for $50k. The last couple of months they might have started going for more due to shortages, but that's not the "normal" price, and it will...
Huh? Carbon fiber has "been a thing" in the car world for at least 20 years. I remember going to car meets in 2001 where people had carbon fiber hoods, trunks, etc.
This has been a thing on car forums for decades. Dude was a dumbass to post his whole life online and not anticipate something like this happening. Even if another user didn't rat him out, dealerships still troll these sites to look for the same thing.
On a more serious note, I've never seen a steering wheel cover that didn't feel like absolute garbage. If you want a girthier wheel, then the best option is one of these:

Normally that's true, but on the B58 the throttle plate stays fully open all the time, there is no vaccum in the manifold to pull from. It's the same reason we can't run traditional BOVs, there's no vacuum reference to pull them open when you let off the throttle.
A couple of weeks ago I installed the Verus flex fuel kit, this weekend I installed the AA catted downpipe, and yesterday I moved from a stage 1 91 oct OTS map to a stage 2 E50 custom map. I'm still iterating with the tuner, but the car is feeling good.
Also while the car was in the air for...
I just bought a $1300 downpipe off a forum member a week ago and paid with Venmo too. It wasn’t a scam, everything worked out great, but after seeing your story I definitely won’t be doing that again.
You're right, deviating from the manufacturer's recommended oil is a risk when it comes to warranty work. He asked for insight, I gave him mine. Blindly telling him to do whatever the manufacturer recommends is another point of view, he deserves to hear both.
I don't care what they use in...
You do you, but I certainly wouldn't trust 0W20 in these engines in that environment. When you drain it it literally has the consistency of water, that's not an exaggeration, it splashes and everything. As has been mentioned multiple times before, that oil is recommended for emission reasons...

Next time you’re standing in front of something very hot, like a campfire or stove, and you can feel the heat on your face despite the air temperature being normal, stick your hand or a piece of paper in between your face and the heat source and...
The exhaust housing of the turbo is 1000 degrees hotter than anything around it. Radiation and natural convection will transfer plenty of heat, the heat shield will interrupt both of them.
Yes. You asked how is the turbo holding heat, it's holding heat on the exhaust side. The 1000 degree exhaust housing isn't able to radiate as much heat away when the heat shield is in place, so it runs even hotter.
I had a GT3076 on my STi, it was open to the world and heating up the engine...
